I’m currently an aerospace engineering major, so I guess that means I’m applying to Viterbi. (I probably won’t get it, knowing my poor grades and GPA, but I still have to try.)

Yes, because there is no separate application, the number of applicants will increase as people just need to fill out a few extra steps in order to be a qualified candidate. I would say pre requisites are extremely important, but if you only have one or two… then the overall GPA would trump it.

to all those applying for business, make sure you do well in calc, writing, and both financial and managerial accounting. You don’t need to finish all the GEs required because I only took 2 categories when I applied. it’s almost pointless to take macro or micro since you’re going to have to retake them once you get in, but that’s entirely up to you. Good luck everybody and fight on!

so I’m taking this first year integrated program class at uci and it says it covers GE’s ii-iv but when I checked the articulation agreement for uci the class doesnt show up. So should I still take courses with the requirements? Also can I take my accounting classes required for Marshall during the 2nd and 3rd quarter of this year even though my major reccomends I should take it my sophomore year? Thanks for all the help. God bless

I’m not sure I understand what your saying about the GEs, especially when GE IV must be taken at USC.

Since UCI has articulated agreements all you have to do is select UCI from the right drop down menu, select the Business Administration (486) major and follow the directions on what courses to take from each category.

so on the right hand side of this link: [UCI First-Year Integrated Program](http://www.due.uci.edu/fip/us17.html) you’ll see that it says it fulfills categories II-IV. so does that help me in my transfer process or because it’s not mentioned in the uci articulation agreement that it’s completely pointless?

I’m positive those GE categories are for UCI not USC which will not help you. Furthermore, in the transfer catalog you will see GE categories IV & VI must be taken at USC.

I would follow the articulation agreement as I stated in my above post. Generate the report and chose a course from each section. For example, under the diversity section you will see courses you can choose from. I would follow the articulation agreement since it’s concrete. If you’re still unsure, I would follow up with an email to USC.
