@beachpony dang what a hassle… they should not even have the requirement of putting it on especially if youre a transfer with over 30+ units since they don’t even look at the high school and SAT/ACT stuff

also does anyone know if i just need to send in my best scores from the SAT’s or all of the scores? sorry probably stupid question hahahah

Hey, the admission officer said they won’t start the review process until Feb 1. So it doesn’t help no matter how early you send it in before the deadline.

@beachpony really?? I know that you can turn in your rec letters online. The common app would send a link to your instructors who are writing you letters and they would submit the letters themselves.

thanks @luying3636

Gotta love all the useful information on this thread! anyway my question goes out to all of the Marshall Applicants (not applying for the world bachelor in business), for the supplement on common app all we basically have to do is that 1000 character response and whatever is on that page right?

@luying3636 That option is only available for freshman applicants, unfortunately. Transfer applicants have to physically send their letters.

@nmwcorvette Yep, that’s all!

@nmwcorvette- the World Bachelor Program is available to first-year applicants only. So even if you did want to apply, I don’t think you could at the moment…

does anyone know if theres a minimum GPA requirements for transfers?

@uscacceptme there is no set GPA requirement

@tomred whew and thanks!

On the application, it allows you to choose two majors (one for back up). Would it be to my benefit (in terms of getting in) to choose Marshall for my first choice and undecided as my second since I’m transferring as a sophomore? Or should my second choice be Sol Price?

Can I transfer as a sophomore without taking any English classes? My school doesn’t offer a equivalent of WRIT-140. It does offer ENGL101, which is the basic composition class, except I already got credit for getting 5’s on AP Lang and Lit.

Couldn’t I simply take WRIT-140 at USC as a sophomore?

@beachpony I turned in my app 30 mins before the deadline haha now I have to wait 5 months but that sucks that you need to have 48 credits what are you applying for?

@GoodNightNell- I think someone on this thread claimed that their friend did transfer without fulfilling the English class, but I’m not sure how?

You should try emailing your counselor about that and see what they say.
Often times, you can also petition to have a class matriculated
[USC ARR : Articulation : Articulation Petitions](http://www.usc.edu/dept/ARR/articulation/petitions.html)

Hope that helps :)

@GoodNightNell I had the same problem and emailed my counselor and he was really helpful! He basically said you could take it as a sophomore, that’s what I’m doing!

Anyone worried about SAT / ACT scores?!? I have 29 transferable units and since I have less than 30 they’re probably going to look at those scores and I’m worried because that was probably the only component that’s kinda low…just wondering how much it could factor into the decision. I mean, they solely base everything on GPA in college but I’m just worried!

@chloe316 Good luck!! I’m planning on applying for film and television production.

@2016collegegirl An admissions counselor said they prefer to base everything off your college record, so don’t worry beef curry!

Are you guys sending in your SAT scores? If so, like did you go through collegeboard? or just plainly type in your score in the commonapp? Help a brotha out

hey does anyone know for the writing section, it says that 1000 characters maximum, does that including spaces or no spaces?
