everyone does a supplement and essay im pretty sure. its was the 500 word statement on why you wish to transfer to usc

I’m looking over my supplement, and the only portion where I had to write anything creatively was entitled “short answer”. Here’s the prompt:

**"In approximately one paragraph, please address the following prompt:

Describe your academic interests and how you plan to pursue them at USC. Please feel free to address your first- and second-choice major selections."**

So I followed the instructions and did ONE paragraph, so it was pretty brief all things considered and relatively general. I hope I didn’t make a major mistake here because this definitely isn’t something I’d want to be considered as an essay.

@keignat
but on the actual application there is a 500 word statement on why you wish to transfer to usc

I figured that’s what you were talking about, but since that’s on the Common Application and not the supplement, that went to all five of the schools I applied so it wasn’t really USC-specific. I’m pretty happy with that essay though. Whew

Ya but Marshall transfer students didn’t have an extra supplement, just the 1 paragraph reason why and the Common App 450/500 word personal essay.

There was also the extracurricular essay too on the Common App. So Marshall students were only required to write three pieces of writing.

Is it just me or for those who did a Non-Custodial Parent Waiver and turned in the 3rd Party Letter, is USC Connect still asking for non-custodial Profile form ? I thought that would have gone away by now …

has anyone else on the quarter system got a winter grade request?

@Transfer2OI3
I didn’t do a non-custodial parent waiver, but USC did say I was missing high school transcripts, and I submitted them over a week ago and its still giving me a notification that I’m missing them. I guess they are just really busy, but I’m sure whenever they evaluate your application they will see that you have submitted it and everything should be fine

^ Dang … You just NOW sent in your high school transcripts ? I mean although the impact may be slight to none but I thought everyone had all there stuff or did they just lose it or misfile it ?

Oh I talked to Financial Aid they said it was cool

UGH this wait is torture. I just wanna know :(

is anyone else’s university already scheduling classes for next semester/year? mine’s already doing advising sessions and like I said before, I know a number of people (upperclassmen) who already have their schedules. gahh I really hope I don’t have to wait until June 3 to know. i’m so torn on whether or not to sign up for certain organizations and other things at my school because I don’t want to commit and then just be like oh jk bye, but I don’t want to lose the opportunities in case I don’t get into USC too you know? so stressful n_n I really want to ask advisers here on what would be best to do but…idk, I want to avoid the awkward “I want to transfer” explanation haha.

(on an unrelated side note, I think if I did get accepted I want to change the major I applied to…which is in a different school…which would mean another application process OTL @_@)

@Transfer
Its a long story, but basically I tested out of high school early, so I sent them the test results of that instead, because its supposed to be legally recognized as the equivalent of completing high school, but they still wanted the work I did up till I tested out.

Anybody else just get a “Click here to submit mid-year grades online.” button on their Application Status page?

I click it, and it goes to a page with a USC header but blank otherwise.

Sounds like a freshman status or glitch to me…

^ I don’t have that…

Looks like it’s gone now. Weird. Maybe there was some maintenance of the site this morning.

Chance me please!

does anyone know if you were to be accepted and took a class this summer at your current college, would that still accept that as a credit? ive heard for UC’s they wont accept any summer credits if.you are entering in the fall.

would they still accept that*

@JR2013 You will need to get approval for that specific class from USC just like you would if you were a USC continuing student and you wanted to take a class that was not on the USC campus.
If I get in, I plan on taking a class this summer at our local university.
