@jr2013 ok thx! good to know

Anyone else on this thread apply to Chapman University??

i didnt. but my friends going to apply chapman next year its his dream school

Hmmm just cause I’m curious has anyone known anyone that got rejected from USC perferably Marshal with a 4.0 and all or almost all pre req’s finished? Like not I “heard” but actually have witnessed or talked to someone that got rejected to Marshall with a 4.0 AND 60+ Units with the GE’s and what not? Reason being I could not see any rejects from any of the last threads except for SCA which is not GPA based, mainly skill and portfolio and students that were sophomore transfers with less than 30 units.

Yeah I also applied to Chapman as a digital arts transfer.

I started a transfer thread for Chapman for this fall: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/chapman-university/1485131-chapman-fall-2013-transfer.html

Applied to Marshall with 62 units and a 3.6 gpa from a business week top 35 university with extensive extracurriculars in my minor (communication/journalism) and an NCAA D1 athlete. Got denied last year undecided with a 3.8 gpa for 32 units so hoping for the best this year. Good luck to all and may the odds be ever in your favor :)

^ hmm good luck =D

So I’m guessing no one knows of anyone that got rejected with those stats? although granted essay is important but unless their essay completely SUCKED. Only person I personally know of that got rejected had a 3.8 GPA and got rejected so he applied again a year later with a 3.7 and got in. only difference was the first time he didn’t have rec letters that and maybe his essay sucked ?

The waiting is killing me! They probably haven’t even started looking at our applications yet.

I just got rejected from penn state today. now i’m more worried about usc’s decision…

@veeyepea thats what i feel like! haha i think they are taking some time off from reviewing freshman apps before they start ours.

@veeyepea I think they started looking at our applications already. I got a call from my admission counselor asking me questions on my application.

Hey guys this is my first post on this thread. I applied as a transfer student into viterbi(electrical engineering) from auburn university. I feel like I can’t wait until June 1 anymore. Anyways I have two questions:

Last semester I ended with a 3.6 in some pretty challenging courses, I got all As in my classes but a C in English comp. That C won’t hurt me much will it(the class and teacher were moronic).

Also, has anyone heard anything from USC since applying, I want to make sure I’m not alone in hearing nothing.

Thanks and I hope we all get in

@bycity94 what kind of questions did he/she ask you?

@Veeyepea she just wanted me to clear some things up on the AP classes I took in high school (I did not take the AP test for all of them). She also asked about my spring classes this semester.

@bycity94 what school did u apply to? and did she tell you if you would hear soon?

@Veeyepea I applied to Marshall as first choice and Price as second choice. Hby? She didn’t say. I’m guessing I’ll hear in June since I’m applying as a freshman (sophomore transfer).

@JR2013 oops sorry the message above is for you, I read the username wrong haha.

@bycity94 haha its all good. I had Marshall first and than Dornsife. i will have 50 units done by the end of this spring most of which major prep would apply to dornsife but i want marshall

@MHC0010
I’m applying to viterbi for astronautical engineering! And I have a 3.79 gpa.
Anyways my first semester I took english composition and I had a ****ty teacher too and ended up with a C - my ONLY C in college yet. So it hurt my gpa and I was bummed too, but my hopes are that as long as we are strong in all major related course we should be okay.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who had to put up with a horrible English Comp teacher. Everyone in my class called my teacher Professor Umbridge. But you’re right we should be good
