Official USC 2013 Transfer Thread

now i’m curious, how likely is it for USC to send SGR’s to students that are junior transfers and have completed all of the required coursework?

i have an understanding from screening past decisions that USC likes to give those out to sophomore transfer or those that have not completed work or have them in progress…

correct me if i’m wrong?

You are correct

sooo basically only one person on this thread has recieved an sgr and i think he was going in on junior standing…have any future sophmore or freshman standing transfer got one yettt?

Nothing (no SGR) from this freshman who would love to enter as a sophomore in the fall.

@katie617 im the same well im a sophmore n have like 55 credits but some of them are non transferable so i dont kno where i would stand at…

i just know its less than a junior standing

odd to not have a single decision yet. by this time last year I think we had 2 or so.

usc pls.

I’m pretty sure starting next week many will start hearing hearing decisions

i’m the same as Katie617 :\ glad i’m not the only one who hasn’t gotten an SGR yet…

@alaintran9, do you really think a lot of people will receive an acceptance before/by May 1st? Or are you talking about SGRs?

I’m really hopeful (but at the same time doubting) that I will hear back from USC before May 1st. I have to submit my intent to enroll and housing deposit at a potential back-up university by May 1st unfortunately.

Is it a bad sign not to get an SGR? Frankly, I wish I can just get admitted without one because Spring grades for me won’t come in until like the second or third week of June and if I have to wait until then to send in my grades I’ll lose my spot in my other universities which means bye bye USC.

^^ It’s not a bad sign! I think more people get accepted without an SGR. I’m hoping that’s the case for me too, because if we get SGR’d then we probably won’t even know if we’re accepted until July and that’s just ridiculous… the UC date to SIR is June 1st.

@jrenee Looking at last years thread a good number of people starting getting their decisions late April to early May. Whether it be SGR’s or regular decisions.

@that1guyy why bye bye ? just make SIR rather lose few hundred bucks than wait for USC maybe get rejected and end up not getting into any University … and in my opinion SGR is not bad but seems kind of tedious and annoying, some people got rejected from getting B’s I heard … why would we want the extra stress ? =[

if all this is true we should probably hear of a decision by this upcoming friday

Good luck to everyone! I am currently at USC. I started reading the board recently to help out my younger brother, also this class, If anyone needs any help about USC i’ll glad to help out.

Background Info: Business Administration & Accounting Major, (also considering a math minor) Transfer admitted 2011. I was admitted Str. up. no SGR.

DOOOOM!!! We’re never getting SGRs! Its best if we all just start practicing, “Would you like fries with that?” :(
