@ahahanjun yeah, basically. my CC has a link on their website to send transcripts and stuff so I’m doing it that way. As for the college report, take that to the registrar or whoever handles that at your school. You may be lucky, I’m on a wild goose chase to find the person(s) that can fill mine out.
So I just sent out my official transcripts for college, there was a technical issue and I basically ordered 3 transcripts because i though the first 2 times it didn’t go through,… it also charged me three times :/… Do you think USC will be annoyed by this? Maybe I’m just paranoid, I want everything to be perfect.
When’s the deadline for sending the transcripts?

Has anyone submitted their application yet? Does USC send an email that they have received your application, and if so, how long did it take
@jakecasino I’m about to submit, in a bit I just gotta edit my essay a bit. How was your essay? Was you common app essay usc specific.
@jucery13 My question was to provide a statement for my reasons to transfer. What about you?
@jakecasino , We all have the same question, maybe I expressed my self in a funny way. What i meant is, When you wrote your essay was it only for USC, or did you generalize, cause technically the common app essay is suppose to be more general, as it would be sent to all the colleges you’re applying to via common app.
@jucery13 oh lol. I read somewhere that there were like six different questions and each applicant had one of the six questions (this was probably for the application to the school of cinematic arts). Anyways, my common app essay was just in general, not really geared towards USC specifically
@jakecasino Cinematic Arts? Nice bro, thats a really cool major, and it has great networking once you graduate, One of my friends graduated from the school of cinematic arts (idk which specific major) but he’s making like 65k a year from his first job, which in my opinion it’s not bad at all. Hmm, do you think it might count against me if I wrote the common app specifically for USC? What are you’re stats right now?
@jucery13 I don’t think it would count against you at all. Right now, I have 38 units with a 3.89, and I have 14 units in progress. I believe my essays are the strongest points in my application, both to the university and school of cinematic arts. What’s your stats and what are you applying for?
@jucery13 Dam Bro! Great Stats, definitely mirin that GPA, How many GE courses/ Major Requirement. have you taken? Also what is your second choice major? Seems like you have a good shot!
I currently have a 3.71(45 units completed, 17 or 14 this coming semester, depending if one of my classes gets canceled) currently attending CSULB, I got a 4.0 last semester so I’m hoping USC digs my upwards grade trends. I’m applying Business Administration as my first choice, and Psychology as my second choice.
This Semester I will be taking the last of the recommended classes Business Calc, English Requirement, and Cat V. from USC core. Besides the language requirements I’m done with all the required classes. What sucks is I’m almost for sure gonna get spring grade requested since I’m taking classes that are essential for admission. As for the essay, I think for me its quite the opposite, I’m currently having some issues with articulating my thoughts.
@jucery13 I have one more requirement that I’m finishing up this semester. Applied as undecided for my second choice. Dude, 3.71 is still good! And hey, getting SGR’d is still better than rejection right then and there. How long ago did you start on your application? I’ve been working on mine since high school graduation 2 years ago lol
Dam shit 2 year? Thats impressive. I started pretty much this past summer, all the classes I took this fall where USC GEs, but my essay I literally started right after New Years. How long was your common app essay? Shit I’m nervous, yet excited, I really hope I get in, I’m definitely gonna do everything possible to get a 4.0 this semester.
@jucery13 I’ve always wanted to go to USC but my high school grades were crappy. I took a semester off after high school then worked on my GEs from spring 2014 to now. And I’ve been working on my application simultaneously. My common app essay was like 350 words. Didn’t really know what to say. That was the last thing I worked on. Is the common app essay the only thing you have left to do?
2 years of working on my application + $80 common app fee + $15 cinematic arts app fee + $25 financial aid profile fee — I better get in on this first try haha. I hope you get in too! Work hard for that 4.0!
@jakecasino, I’m almost sure you’ll get in to USC as undecided, about cinematic arts though I heard its super competitive. Yeah just the common app essay, I have my thoughts, i just need to work on the writing, make it sound nice, I need the EC supplemental essay, then ill be done. Im seriously stressing out about these essays though.
lol just realized USC is making bank from the application. 80x8,500(rough estimate) applicants around 700k, from just application!! dam, I’m sure commonapp gets a chunk to.
@jucery13 I spent most of those two years writing, rewriting, getting feedback, and editing my personal statement for my cinematic arts application. I literally have like 10 different drafts that I worked on. So if I don’t get in, idk what I would do haha.
Taking showers helped me to gather my thoughts haha. If you’re stressed, take a break because being stressed will affect your writing. Three weeks left man! Stop thinking about how much money USC makes and start writing lol
@jakecasino By the way what’s your opinion on this. I ordered a transcript from my university and it kep on giving me an error, I ended up doing it 2 more times. The next day I check my email, and it turns out it sent all 3 transcripts. My question is do you think USC, will be like wow this kid is retarded. I Think I’m fine, but this annoys me, maybe I’m just paranoid.
so USC doesnt require the secondary school final report or the transfer college report right? just want to make sure im reading things right…
