@zettasyntax You got this bro!! Psychology is my 2nd choice, I’m hoping i get in for one of them. Im pretty sure you are set I was looking at previous threads, and a bunch of people that were rejected the first time are accepted the second time.

I applied to other schools just in case so I can have somewhere to go. I don’t want to be at CC forever :-S I did get into UCSD last year for computer science, but I thought it was just too far for me to go. Lol, I have a Zelda backpack, so maybe that would do…
@jucery13 @juniorwhooper101 for the OASIS log in I’m pretty sure it’s the USC ID and your birthday. I logged on a couple weeks ago and I could have forgotten something but in last years thread they were all talking about how to log on so you could verify the log in info there!

@zettasyntax bro UCSD is also a great school, but I’m glad you didn’t give up on USC. Im sure the it will be well worth it! I currently go to CSULB, I actually really like it, but I’ve always wanted to go to USC ever since I was little, so i decided to give it a shot.

@jucery13 I wanted to go to CSULB so bad last year! I was rejected for both the fall and spring term. Apparently it was because I never took a speech class. I finally got in for this year though, so I have somewhere closer to go if USC is a bust this time around; I’m hoping it’s not

@zettasyntax What! You got into UCSD for CS? I hear it’s ultra competitive to get in there (but I’m not sure). Is it true that you have to have ALL major reqs finished or they flat out reject you regardless of GPA? Here on college confidential I’ve heard that it was because the major is impacted, while other people I’ve talked to in person told me it’s not.
UCSD would be my second choice after USC, and after that it would be Davis. If I got rejected from both USC and UCSD I’m seriously considering taking another year at CC but… I don’t know. I kind of want my degree ASAP so I can start working, lol.
@HappyLifeMachine I’m not sure either. Last year though, I had a lot of science to cover for UCSD. I had multiple Java courses under my belt, but that was about it. I heard that UCSD mainly likes to admit based on GPA for some majors too and I had a 4.0 then, so I would think that’s why I got admitted last year. I have no idea if they’ve become more strict this year, but I did get in last year without a lot of pre-reqs (the only science I had was geology).
I know what you mean, I didn’t want to stay at CC another year, but I pretty much had to :-\
I am a sophomore transfer as well! My first choice is psychology-Dornsife, and the second choice is Marshall. But in my essay, I indicate that I want to double major in psy and business. Are prerequisites for Marshall are microecon macroecon and wrt140 (or new 150?) ?
