When will Dornsife be releasing decisions?
Honestly I think we will start hearing back in May, and SGRs will come in May as well and then Decisions will keep coming up until June 1st and since some CC’s end late May or in June some of the decisions will come in July,(if you got an Sgr) kind of like last year.
Has anyone that’s on the Trojan Transfer Plan (TTP) heard back yet? I’m on the TTP and haven’t heard anything back yet; however, I remember my counselor telling me that USC is going to ask for our spring grades.
Just got a SGR via my portal! And I am a Dornsife applicant.
What is your major and how many units are you taking?
Even though I’m not on TTP is there still a possibility I can transfer into Marshall as a Sophmore considering I finished the calculus and writing requirement with calculus 2 in progress now?
whats your major @emwrbrtn
@emwrbrtn were you notified to check your portal in your email?
@emwrbrtn was it under “check application status?”
What does SGR look like?
“We have requested your spring term grades. We mailed you specific instructions on how to submit your grades for expedited processing. We hope to receive the grades before June 30. We expect you will be notified of our final decision by mid-July.” like this??
@Severn777 What is your major and how many units are you taking?
I think the counselor simply said June to avoid making any guarantees and promises. If her answer was earlier than what it really is, then she’s liable for creating false hope and might receive angry emails/calls. I am sure May will be the month where majority of applicants will receive some news. I am saying this as I am freaking out about the wait.
Any architecture majors? I rarely see any architecture majors in these threads and the few that I have seen in the past threads didn’t receive their decisions till late May
@HelloThereFellow I have finished 33 quarter units and will get another 20 quarter this Spring. My first choice is Psychology and my second choice is Business, because in my essay I mentioned I wanted to double major in both of them.
@severn777 At least you are past the first round of the admission process, so try not to sweat it too much and finish the rest of this semester strong.
Man this wait is so awful… Applied to Dornsife as a Political Science major. Someone want to chance me?
Currently at a 4yr university in California and carrying a 4.0 GPA with 35 completed united, 13 in progress. Solid essays and 2 great letters of rec both from professors, one of which is a Poli-Sci professor. Ethnicity is half Chinese and half Korean in case anyone wishes to know in chancing me lol
28 Units completed in the 2 semesters I’ve completed (I started Spring 2014), 6 at a CC over the summer, and 1 random credit from a summer program I did in high school. Categories I, II, III, V, Diversity, and English requirement completed along with both “Major Requirement” classes for the Poli-Sci major. I believe the only GE I have not fulfilled are the 3 semesters for foreign language in which I have just started doing this current semester.
I can’t seem to find a big disadvantage in my application unless they decide to disregard my summer units, which means I’m applying with only 28 units of 30 recommended (my HS performance is abysmal). The summer units are pretty important as they fulfill the diversity and Category II requirement. Sorry for the long post, just super stressed
@samchoochiu I’m also a Poli Sci major with similar stats but I’m from a CC. I think you have a great chance. Good luck!
Yup I also got this under check my application status “We have requested your spring term grades. We mailed you specific instructions on how to submit your grades for expedited processing. We hope to receive the grades before June 30. We expect you will be notified of our final decision by mid-July.” If this is a SGR , then i guess i just got a SGR.
Anyone with a Spring Grade Request also on the Trojan Transfer Plan?
@HelloThereFellow yeah, you are right. At least I was not rejected yet. But my spring quarter ends at June 11st, so I have to wait for another 2 months from now.
