Official USC 2015 Transfer Thread

For the fortunate ones that have already been accepted just wondering when do you need to make your commitment/deposit by? Also, last year at this time there was already a transfer acceptance page that ppl would post stats and even SGR dates before decisions were made - are there enough now to begin a 2015 thread?

@sunita18 got it on my portal, didnt get any email or anything

I feel like a lot more were accepted this time last year,

Does seem that way but maybe there are fewer of us applicants posting or communicating on college confidential right now? @ForeverGymnast21 Plus the incoming freshman still have time to officially commit maybe once usc has that information it will either open or close spots for transfers idk just a thought.

I just called USC SCA and asked if getting an interview meant something. They told me they are calling people to clarify things and if you havent received a call, you shouldn’t be concerned.

@madlion21 yeah last years thread had so many people posting and this years doesn’t have as many, and I forgot about freshmen! Haha they need to decide my May 1st right? So maybe a week after the freshmen decisions are in we will start to get the mass acceptances/rejections/SGR’s?

got sgr’d for marshall.

@madlion21 On mine it says make commitment by June 1st or within 2 weeks of receiving the acceptance. I don’t know if mine’s earlier because I received the decision pretty early or if they all say that. I’m assuming for SGR it’ll have a later date than June 1st or something.

I think we should begin a 2015 thread!

@ForeverGymnast21 We can only hope

@aubreygiveshugs Thanks for letting me know the dates it gives you time to decide unless you’ve already made the commitment which would be great! Looking forward to that 2015 acceptance thread starting soon make sure you are one of the first to post :slight_smile:

@veip12 what’s your major/GPA if you don’t mind me asking, also are you a sophomore or a junior transfer?

so i read that some applicants with an SGR request heard back by the end of may without even submitting their sgr. i wonder what’s the point of sgr for those people

When I call admissions to check on my account the only information they can tell me is that my file is complete. Do you think complete is referring to my file as in what I’ve sent in or that they have made a decision? I know I know I’m over analyzing I just thought I’d ask anyways!

@mrowsey I think they mean as in what you’ve sent in.

Im currently a freshmen at a 4 year university majoring in accounting. When I applied, I had a 3.75 gpa but I received a 3.5 gpa during my winter quarter ( usc also requested the grades ) which I was more than certain I would not receive an sgr. I’m not sure if it helped me or not but I did send an additional information on yousc telling them that beginning of my winter quarter, I scored an internship at an accounting firm and was working 30-40 hours a week during tax season.

@ForeverGymnast21 ^

is the usc site down?

I am not sure. I’m kind of nervous because California universities don’t seem to like out of state students , I did get a SGR but ucla, ucsb have denied me and I have a feeling uci is going to deny me tomorrow . Do you guys think usc admission is different than uc’s system

@Mrowsey Hey when the result comes out can u post here? Since we applied to the same major, it will be hepful!

Can we make a new thread for this year???
