Hi everyone!

I'm new here, and I really want to get into USC!! AT first, it was not one of my top choices, but after visiting the campus and auditioning for various campuses, the school is definately my first choice. Anywyas, I'm very anxious to find out if I was accepted!

I applied as a classical guitar major (BMA) and theatre major (BFA). Both had auditions, the last of which I finished on Sunday. I assume that due to these auditions, I will not be getting any letters soon.

My concern: I intend on double-majoring if I am admitted, but I put theatre as my first choice major. Apparently, they will only concider you for your first choice major, and if you are not accepted, they will move on to your second. Unforunately, if I am admitted into my first choice, my slot in my second choice will get filled!!! AHHH! I'm going to call the school tomorrow and try to get things settled.

ANyhow, I was wondering id anyone had any information on music scholarships. How high can they get? I've been playing classical guitar for twelve years and study and the most prestigious conservatory in the world, but I simply dont have the money to go to USC.

The problem is that my parents have a fairly high income, but with lots of debts and tons of siblings, its a lot less than it seems. And essentially, they won't pay for my education.

Well here are my stats:

1970 SAT
4.0 GPA unweighted
I have taken and passed 6 Ap classes and tests
I have tons of extracurriculurs: San Francisco Conservatory of Music, America n Lung Ass., Musicals, plays, Fringe festival, guitar, saxophone...

quite frankly I am extremely scared I won't be admitted.

What are my chances?

I did not get a request for my mid-year report. I've had a 4.0 from the day I was born, so mybe that's why, but I've heard getting the request is a good sign? Is that a misconception?

As for scholarships, I'm assuming I won't hear about the music ones for a little while. My audition went great, and they guys were impressed, but I'm still worried. And not sleeping at night lol.

This whole college process is very tough. I just can't wait until the letters come rolling around.
