Mrsoccer, I got the USC acceptance letter a week ago, without the scholarship letter. baccMD letter came several days after. If you are being considered for the program, you will be accepted early.

**? This is BS. I got into yale early, but wasn’t even offered an interview for USC Bacc/MD. ?

Congrats on your early acceptance to Yale The Fed!

Yeah, I think the USC Bacc MD is one of the different ones. I have a friend who got PLME and HPME, but not USC.

i’m a current bacc/md student, please pm me with questions

Major at USC: Undecided (plan to double major in journalism & neuroscience)

Stats:[ul]

[li] ACT: Didn’t take it
[/li]

[li] SAT Subject Tests: US History: 770, Bio (M): 770, Chem: 760
[/li]

[li] Medical Experience/ECs: Almost no med experience :X But News Editor of my school’s paper, President of Spanish Club, Vice President of MUN, and Secretary for SOS (a club that works to lessen stress). I wrote in my application about how I want to be a medical correspondent at a news network (weirdly similar to the essay prompt, haha) or a medical journalist.
[/li]

[/ul]
**General Comments: ** I didn’t get a scholarship offer with my acceptance either, but a couple of my friends (who haven’t applied to BA/MD) have got scholarship rejection letters (they’re out of the running for scholarships, but their application is still being reviewed). I didn’t get the scholarship rejection; there was just no mention of scholarships at all in mine; anyone else have this happen to them?

CONGRATS to everyone who got an interview!! And good luck! :D

Same occurred for me gchadrox. I am not sure what is going on yet (though I am sure that you are within the top 1-2% range of candidates).

Congrats!

same with me, i think that means we are being considered for the deans scholarship or something

Same with me, got accepted into USC [and invited to interview for Bacc/MD], but no scholarship information, and I haven’t received the “no scholarship” letter, sooo… I guess we just didn’t get the big scholarships, but we are still being considered for others.

Congrats to everyone who got in, and good luck!

Anyone know where we can get info of the interviews?

they were very vague, all i really know is my interview date…

got an interview ![]()
so surprised because i have mediocre stats as well

General Comments: Very surprised that I got an interview. Good luck all Bac/MD hopefuls

respectxsoccer, congrats! You have great stats.

Yea, a little over 100 received the mail and USC can only offer spots to about 30 people. Does anyone have the definite MSAR (Year 2009+) numbers for this?

When do you find the time that you are supposed to arrive at USC? Not date, but time?

Since it is on a wednesday, I believe there are no overnights. Seriousperson, when you schedule your interview, you should ask them.

I will call tomorrow.

Congrats to all the kids who have gotten interview invites!

Have any of you received info about from USC about the interview? When S called to reserve spot, they said they were sending some info in mail (hasn’t arrived yet). Thanks and best of luck to all of you.

I just called Keck and it seems that you may arrive in the morning at around 8 am (concrete info is being mailed to you right now) and will not last longer than 4 30 pm. 2 pm is when the interviews start. There are at max 30 interviewees per day (only roughly 100 total invited).

You have a choice whether or not to skip school (if you are in CA of course), but they will give us a tour from about 9am- 11 am, lunch 11 am - 12 pm.

That is just a rough schedule. I hope I answered your question sportsmomma.

Anyone else interviewing on March 9th? I look forward to meeting you all!

My D is interviewing on March 2nd. We will be staying at the Radisson across the street. I’m wondering if parents are included in any of the days activities - or should I find something else to occupy my time while she is busy with the tours & interview?

My S has interview 2/23. We asked about parental involvement and USC said parents welcome for tour in the morning, but not invited to luncheon or (of course) afternoon interviews. Also asked about interview attire and they stated suit and tie - it is your med school interview. Hope this helps!

Hi Oremom! Does your name mean you are from Oregon? If so, so are we
Congrats on your son’s interview, and thanks for the info. I am interested in the tour, so it will be nice if they let parents tag along for that part.

Wow, I guess I am one of the Later Gaters. I am just wondering, Oremom and Meditrina, are your kids “set” on being doctors? How long have they known?
