Just think of it this way.
You are not going to get accepted to every schools that you applied for.
If you didn’t get this one, hopefully you will get the next one.
Try this one.

For all those who’s portals haven’t changed and who haven’t received an email yet, it could be possible that USC didn’t receive all application materials by the 1st, and so you were pushed to the regular round without any consideration for scholarships. Meaning, you might have submitted the common app the 1st, but your sat scores or transcripts didn’t arrive till a week later. Just an idea.
@funtofunky well that would really suck because my application for SCA was due December 1st regardless
@funtofunky I sent my scores and transcripts in September and submitted my application in October, and I have yet to receive an email or a portal update. But what you’re saying could be true for other applicants
@funtofunky Doubt that. There are people who submitted their apps hours before the deadline who got accepted already.
I think if you haven’t received any sort of update it’s because you have somewhat unique circumstances. I haven’t heard anything at all yet and I think it is because I am an applicant for the Iovine and Young Academy.
@dvgbhs is that the Preforming arts school?
Everything submitted in October. Scores sent 10/11. There is definitely some limbo category of people who didn’t get a portal update, an email, or a mailing. Maybe it’s just a technical computer glitch and the portal update with bad news will be forthcoming. Until it does, though, I’m going to hope that there is some significance to the limbo.
Nope. It’s a program that was founded by Andre Young (Dr. Dre) and Jimmy Iovine and combines entrepreneurship, engineering, and design. It accepts a freshman class of ~30
They haven’t sent out responses for all the schools. I haven’t seen anything for Annenberg, Roski, or Thorton, or Cinematic Arts.
I’m in limbo and a Dornsife applicant. Will say, though, that I have not seen any CC folks reporting from the mid-Atlantic.
i applied to Thornton and have heard nothing
ANYONE THAT APPLIED TO SCA HEAR ANYTHING???
@girlofyourdreams the only thing I’ve seen so far for cinematic arts is critical studies program and they were both international kids (
@girlofyourdreams what program are u doing btw
@itsdomoo film and television production…the most selective ugh
@ccggp101 My son got the same letter on at his portal. We should find out next week if he has advanced to National Merit Finalist. Do you know how many NMF Presidential 1/2 tuition awards are granted? I guess he is still in the running now but the wait continues right? Congratulations to all of the hard-working students at this site.
Anyone heard in Animation/Digital arts yet?
I have a 3.53 UW and 1750 SAT but I am super talented and i hope they will see it on my supplemental application
