~**Official USC Freshman Appeal Thread**~

It’s been over an hour and a half and still NOTHING! What is going on?! Hahahha :/

i am honestly so confused. I have no idea when they are going to send the next wave of emails

i got the e-mail today.
Spring admittance though…
im still happy

to the people ive replied back to, please note that my actual appeal letter was not that great but i had two really strong letters of recommendation from some teachers so i think those really helped. and the rest of my stats are 2030 SAT, 4.49 weighted GPA and top 2% of my class in a very competitive public high school

BoySOCAL can you tell us when you last had a status update and when the email was sent. Thank you, and also your stats? :)

boysocal, when was your status updated?

my last status update was on 5/13/09
i think i got the email about 2 hours ago.
my stat : 2170 sat 3.7 uw gpa 4.1 w gpa good exc. activities

Anyone else have any news?

My son is a spring admitt. He got his email at 4:30 pm. He will be so happy when he gets home from Baseball!!!

Hey, just got the rejection e-mail at 7:01.

I was also rejected, again.

This is awful.

Rejected…

I seriously CANNOT believe this. I know I sound ungrateful, but this is just ridiculous.

nagooya- I really have a lot of sympathy for you. I remember in late march when you were so hopeful about getting in.

Thanks netsrock. It’s just so hard to get rejected twice from the school where I know I belong. I guess I’ll have to spend a year at UCI and possibly transfer…

^I totally know how you feel… I was really just hoping for the best but I also prepared myself for the worst. It DOES stink getting rejected twice though :(

to be honest with u, i am in the same boat. USC is my dream school as well. Living in Irvine, it is not a bad place at all. I think u will enjoy it

nagooya, I feel your pain, I really wanted to get in also…

This makes no sense, we all should’ve gotten in… :(

If USC is the school that you HAVE to go to because it offers something that you feel another school can’t offer you, call Admissions. Make an appointment to discuss tranfer requirements and criteria. It may take a year, but you’ll get there.

And to you spring admits, both my kids were spring admits. They had/are having a true USC experience.

Good luck to you all. I hope all your dreams come true.
