Official USF Acceptance Thread!

@Appyza I’m business major. Have you called them? They should have everything done by the end of this month.

Hey Guys, is it too late to apply for Fall? I just got some bad news from the UC’s (lol) and I have always loved USF. The website says we can apply at any time of the year? Rolling admission? Is this true?

I’m a De Anza Transfer student. GPA 3.2, Psychology Major – not sure if that is good enough, but I explain it well in my essay. On the other hand, I have no idea how I would pay for USF – but anyway, the Psych faculty here looks amazing. I’d love to study under anyone of them. I was blown away – really. I’d argue USF Psych Faculty is much stronger than many of the UC’s, notably UC Davis. ANYWAY.

If it’s too late I’ll deff. apply for Spring 2016! I’d give a kidney to be a student here.

I’m also debating whether or not to take classes at Stanford this summer, would this hurt my application? I know the UC’s don’t like students doing any units anywhere but Community College. (It’s a visiting student program)

I’m freaking out about my gpa. Winter 2015 I was able to swing a 3.6, cumulative is 3.2 though (I have 100 units and some really bad quarters where I got some C’s bringing me down).

@fleetfeet2016, USF requires a minimum 3.0 GPA for transfer students, and they accept applications from transfer students beyond the priority deadline of 1/15. So those basics are covered, but certainly you should get in touch with the transfer specialists in admissions on Monday to find out exactly what the situation is at this time. They are the people you’ll want to direct your questions to regarding finances and taking summer classes. USF offers summer classes for visiting students also, perhaps that might work well for you.

Just got an email today! Accepted to USF as a Psych major!

BUT, I also found out USF doesn’t have APA accreditation!! -_- LOL what the heck?!

I’m pretty sure that the APA only accredits PhD programs, not undergrad…

@Erdnase808 Your right.

In other news I didn’t get any financial aid so I won’t be attending afterall – bummer.

Looks like I have to wait until I’m 24 to finish undergrad so that I can be free from my parents income.

I guess patients is a virtue, still, situations like these make me want to give up on education.

The “squeeze” on the middleclass is real.

did u get accepted?? i have a 2.9 gpa and im worried :frowning:
