Oh, and I have no idea if this affects anything at all, but I turned in my app and supplement super early--as in the last week of October early.</p>

<p>Guesses: With 21,000+ apps, much more of this comes down to SAT’s than anyone will admit to; everything else is so subjective and how do you ‘compare’ essays and EC’s for those that are borderline; SAT’s easily allow you to do that.
Also, being OOS and from nearby MD in a double whammy; so many are already accepted from MD that they want to spread the student population; if I was from a Utah, Nebraska, Iowa, etc would have had a better shot.</p>
