@jadeeeeeee – Have you called? What’s the answer? I wanna call, but got cold feet when picking up the phone… I’d call them today anyway. Hope to hear from you soon… GOOD LUCK!!!

@jade – I finally called… The counselor said that “There was a glitch in our system and that is why you cannot see you decision.” Thank God! You may call and check yours. Good luck! =)

omg…giantpeach, thks for telling. I wanted to call but I was to busy today. Btw, I’ve one email of the admin person, I think I can email them and get the answer fast on MOnday. So what’s ure decision???Did you get in??

@jade – They said I can check for decision online early next week. Actually the peroson answering my call wasn’t able to identify the problem and I was answered by an email a couple of hours after the call. I think yours may be the same. Really hope that we can get in!!! Let’s expect next week!!!YOHO~~ =P

ya, sure. Next week. I hope the admin could tell me the decision directly. In fact, I’m being impatient bout all kinds of waiting…jobs, uni,…

Hey, giant peach. I don’t think you’ve to call today. They tell me that they hope to fix the problem by wesnesday.

transfers, where are you living next year??

uvahopeful2, I have no idea! I sort of want to wait to see what they offer to us, but I also sort of want to live in an apartment. Any suggestions or ideas?

@jade – I’ve just checked and truly nothing happens. Thank you for your information. Now I’d wait patiently till Wednesday. Good luck! =D

To everyone who got accepted: Can you please post your stats?

@Darinicus

I got accepted to Arts & Sciences as an English major. I’m currently a first-year so I applied as a sophomore OOS transfer from a California public university.
High school GPA was 4.1 and college first semester GPA was 3.8. SAT was 2260 but I’m not sure how important that is for transfer admission (probably not very important).
For my possible career plan essay, I wrote about why I want to be an educator… and for the other one, I chose “what issue of local/int’l level concerns you?” and wrote about the need for a global understanding of equality, relating it back to discrimination against my mentally disabled students. Funny thing is that I turned in my application several hours past the deadline, haha. I was surprised they still processed it through and gave me a decision on time.
Not much college extracurriculars, but I had a ton in every possible direction (except sports) in high school. No hooks - low income, Asian American, Cali girl. Typical.

I declined admission to UVa just now. It’s an amazing school and I am VERY fond of it, but my family’s EFC is zero and Vanderbilt offered me a far better financial aid package appropriate for my particular situation. Hopefully this will lead to good news, especially for those whose decisions are still up in the air.
Best of luck to you all!

Sent in my deposit today!

My stats:
2nd year OOS transfer to Arts and Sciences from a private Boston area school.
CT Resident
College GPA: 3.7
HS GPA: 3.4
SAT: 710CR 650M 670W

Lots of high school extracurriculars such as club founder and sports team captain. A good amount of involvement in my 1st semester at college too. My main out of school hobby kinda sets me apart from alot of people my age and is something ive demonstrated a true passion for.

I spent a long, long, time writing and revising my Virginia essays to make them pretty special

has anyone been able to see which credits transferred?

not yet for me. when are we supposed to know?

@jade–No email and still showing complete in the SIS… By Wednesday, they mean we can check online on Wednesday, get an email notification on Wednesday, call them on Wednesday or a regular mail would be sent out on Wednesday? Have you got your decision? If not, have you called or do you plan to call? Thanks~

Giantpeach, ME TOO…still complete. In fact, I email one of the admission officer, and the person said there is a glitch in the system, and HOPEFULLY they could fix it by Wednesday. Since she used the word HOPEFULLY, I’ve no idea to call or not. Do you want to try calling tmr.

@jade–I have no idea. I don’t want to push them but I’d like to know the decision, hopefully an admittance, as soon as possible. And as an international, I cannot really afford calling frequently. But I think I would call if nothing shows up tomorrow–I mean, maybe Friday morning.
Also, as the email I got told me “hope to have your decision early next week”, I’m not even sure they have reached a decision or not…
I keep telling myself to calm down… That’s what I did in the past days, besides refreshing my mailbox and SIS site. Bless!
