Got my green check last Thursday evening. Hope for the best!

Dang pzzia, that isn’t good. So they flat out said you weren’t competitive since you haven’t taken foreign languages? Hopefully they realize I only need one more semester of spanish to complete the requirement.

However if you were denied, I fear that I was denied as well since we both received the check mark at the same time. I get the feeling the people with the check marks last will be the ones who are accepted.

ANY FEMALE STUDENTS LOOKING FOR ON GROUNDS HOUSING!! I have a lease available for Faulkner for the 2013-2014 school year. It’s a single room fully furnished apartment! email me ASAP if interested dac7wh@virginia.edu

so financial aid to-do’s don’t have anything to do with admittance since financial aid and admissions are separate departments and don’t know what was admitted? so there are still people with circles? anyone know if they are released fri or on may 1st?

Today for the first time in three weeks Transfermer posted on the uva blog under comments. Usually Transfermer posts about when decisions will be released the week before May 1st. Historically, UVA transfers hear before May 1st.

foreign languages requirements of McIntire? 4 semester?
It is my third semester taking Spanish and second semester taking Japanese.(I take those only because I love languages)
Hope they will consider it…better than people who haven’t take any foreign languages right? Haha… We will see…

Stats: 3.6 Full time father/school/work; Economics/English/Sociology tutoring; Economics Facilitator; Investment Club; PTK, and a few others…

I applied solely to McIntire for fall admission, and in hopes to not let the application impact my last weeks as a vccs student, I have not checked my application status for a week or so. Rather than guessing their decision, I want to focus on my finals. I wish each of you the best of luck!!

Roussenrob , I’m a dad to be. Do you plan on family housing? if so which Housing option? Copeley Hill or University Gardens? (we might end up seeing each other at day care!

Lol Seta, why do you think I’ll get in? There are a lot of solid applicants, 6 of which I know personally… I can only hope the holistic approach to viewing applicants plays out here since I’m below the 3.8 norm… Also congratulations on the coming addition… You will be surprised at how being a father can be academically beneficial; you will have a motivation unlike most any of your peers… I honestly haven’t looked at the housing, I can tell you most anything about McIntire but nothing about where I’ll be living… I want to know in concrete that I will be accepted first… But yeah, provided we are both accepted, we’ll likely see each other regularly…

Average GPA of those accepted: 3.5
Among all transfers, the percentage from nova: 48%
Most important aspect to transfer evaluators: How ready one is to handle the academic load of UVA

Modesty is a virtue, and while I would normally not advise laughing before the punch line, You’re in. GPA is solid, you’re odds go up as a NOVA student, and being a father, plus your amazing load of extracurriculars and let me guess you also work full time too? You’re in.
