Part of what SAT100 just wrote made me wonder: has anyone received a to-do requesting your final transcript?

sat100 is just saying you dont know your decision unless u have final transcript on the to do lost. only im converend about is deposit popup that comes up a few hrs before the decision
hope there are no disappoints here

what does it mean if i have a green check and it says view decision? i thought decisions were coming out may 1st? so nervewracking… what to-do’s do other people have? also, do they require a final transcript before making a decision?

The green check means they have made your individual decision, but they won’t release it until they have made everyone else’s, too. This is because the SIS structure they use was designed for schools that use rolling admissions, so as soon as a decision is available, they can view it.

The decision deadline is May 1st. I don’t think UVa has ever waited that long in recent years. You can probably expect either this friday or the next to be the release date.

A final transcript is required, but they make the decision without it. You have to send it in after you’ve been accepted so that they know your performance hasn’t plummeted this semester.

Yep you’re right dBreez. Seeing as it was April 28 last year, a Friday, ( http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/1294960-official-uva-transfer-thread-fall-2012-a-18.html )I bet it’s going to be April 26 this year. Releasing decisions dates on a Monday (April 29) or a Wednesday (May 1) is traditionally a mistake for an admissions office. ;)

so wat is the consensus on the green check? if you get it early is that a good thing? i feel like i had mine for a while and I dont think i have amazing stats that stand out

The consensus is, I believe, that we don’t know.

It could mean a person is a shoo-in. Or it could mean a person is an obvious reject.

It could mean they go in alphabetical order. I say that because my surname initial is B and I got it early. My stats were less than stellar as well.

Or it could just mean that they had our applications in order first, and others were still being assembled. This seems to me to be the most plausible.

Still have not received the infamous green check.

I think the check means they already made ur decision but they cant release them all till may 1 or whatever

no doubt it’s going to be next friday

I had a check from almost the very beginning which probably means a decision has been made and yet i havent gotten anything on my to-do-list. ( I did apply for financial aid). I didn’t know so many people had stuff on their list…think this means i didn’t get in??

Okay, everybody calm down and stop speculating. I called admissions today, the check means your decision has been made but they are strict about releasing everyone’s results on the same day. Thats it! They will release the results when all decisions are made, on or before May 1st. You’ll drive yourself mad speculating, be patient and you will know what the decision is when it’s released. Good luck

Ahh, so that means they are still considering me for admission I assume. Or they haven’t got to my application yet.

is anyone else able to click on University ID lookup on the left hand bottom of SIS, put in their info, and obtain a UVA ID number?? Aside from their applicant number or login…

I’m not authorized to lookup the 7-digit SIS number and don’t know where to find it.

@transferuva I have one. I doubt it means much.

@transferuva, I guess that anyone who can access to their SIS can look for university ID.

There was added tonight “Arts & Sciences Undergraduate” next to the Green Check on the admissions section. This isn’t for further speculation, just sharing my minor update.

^I think I’ve had that for a while. Trust me, they won’t be giving hints this early on. We might as well relax for the next week, no matter how hard it may be lol.

@dBreez: you can find your 7-digit SIS number in the e-mail they sent titled “UVa Student Information System (SIS) Access.” I doubt it means anything at all.
