So, just to clarify-- the UW portal will be updated tonight? I know they send acceptance letters through mail, but will we still be able to see our decisions regardless?

No, it could be anytime until the end of March. However, they did say they would try to get everything out as soon as they could. @castlehes

Hi, everyone! I’m reading last year’s discussion thread and it appears that decisions began to be released on the portal in the evening of 3/15/16 (link to the discussion if you want to read along: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-washington/1826935-univ-of-washington-class-of-2020-application-thread-p28.html). UW rolls their decisions out in waves/batches, even online, so there’s no guarantee you’ll get your result tomorrow. I’ll let you know if I find out more from that thread!
@castlehes This hasn’t been confirmed 100%. All we know is that if you are rejected, you only get an email and if you are accepted you get something from postal mail. I really hope it is updated tonight!

I just want to make sure I am looking at the right thing. When you log onto your Net ID does it say:

And then say “Medians” halfway down the page with a 5 to 0 scale below it?

Something interesting that someone posted on last year’s discussion thread: “I called admissions, this how it works…once they mail out your decisions the portal will reflect the change even though you might not have received the actual letter. Also, someone also said: “My friend got into UW last year and her online portal never changed and she got her letter on the 29th of March. She lives in Seattle!” (pg 46).
It seems they release the results almost completely randomly, so we’ll all have to anticipate a potentially longer wait.
EDIT: Also, I’ve seen a trend in the first 2 days (3/15 and 3/16) on that thread: people tended to report that their portals were updated around 8:30 to 9pm PST!
No I think it would probably be updated tomorrow after eight pm if we are going by last years times

Not sure if that user actually IS UW Admissions, but patterns in the thread HAVE shown that portals are usually updated in batches at around 8pm or 9pm PST every day throughout the March 15th to 30th time period.
TL;DR The portal will not necessarily change tomorrow based on last year’s times.
