Pretty Strong and Powerful
I tried to include stuff that are very personal to me.
Are the purple and gold scholarships still given out for OOS kids and if so, how many receive them? I assume it’s a small % but would love to be wrong.

My stats aren’t perfect. I’ve already been accepted to Baylor University and University of Michigan. I applied RD to Honors college. I think I have a chance, but it might come down to financial aid. Do they offer good merit or need based scholarships.
Thanks!
I am in the same boat as of a lot of you on here… Frantically waiting and researching everything.
I am a white male from a small public school in Eastern Washington, about 70 students in my graduating class. My school only offers one AP class which is Calculus. Here are my stats–
Un-weighted GPA: 3.92 (school doesn’t do weighted GPA)
SAT (new): 1150
Coursework: I’ve taken all the high level classes my school offers and I doubled up on math and science both my sophomore, junior, and senior year. So, I’ve taken all of the graduation requirements and then some.
EC’s: 2 years of FBLA, making it to state in all of my event both years
2 years of Key Club/NHS-volunteering for anything and everything I could handle
4 year varsity letterer in football and track. Two year state champion and two time sportsmanship award recipient. Broken multiple school records in track and have received awards from the WIAA.
3 years of Employment during the summers. I included this EC because I believe the employment is a very important activity because it shows that I can be reliable and that I am a hard worker.
I believe my EC’s are pretty good, knowing that they have to make up for my SAT score.
Essays: I completed every essay box that they offered and I believe the essay’s are the strongest part of my package. My personal essay described a few personal and sport related hardships that I have encountered throughout my life which have shaped me into the person that I am today. The smaller essays described how my school only offers one AP class and how I had to compensate for that, why I am interested in the major I selected, and how I can contribute to the diverse culture at UW. Everyone that read my essay’s said that they were extremely well written and portray who I am to the reader like they’ve known my for years. I think my essay’s are the best part of my package.
Intended Major: Construction Management (hoping for DA)
I believe I have a very good chance of making the cut! I will anxiously wait for that gold (hopefully) envelope to come in the mail! Does anyone have any thoughts of my chances? Thanks!
Dude, I’m from Eastern Washington too! Although I go to Richland High School which is a pretty huge school. I also applied to UW; I’m a bit nervous about getting into the honors college (1580/1600 SAT and 3.96 GPA) but I guess we’ll just have to wait it out!
Unweited GPA: 3.3 (I got really sick last year and it dropped .3 points)
Weighted GPA: 4.01
SAT: 1220
Major: English
Do I have any chance of getting in?
I know this is way early and probably isn’t anything but have any of you set up your netID yet? I have and have been messing around with the interface of the site and happened to come across the DARS link under the academics tab on the left side of the page. It let’s you run a search for your intended degree and shows you the classes you can take. I then clicked on the link that enabled me to add classes to the fall of 2017 quarter. I’ve been fishing around threads from last year and turns out this may be a hint of acceptance. I know about the unofficial transcript trick and I’ve been checking that. I’m just so impatient! If anyone else can do this DARS trick and add classes to their plan, let me know. This may actually mean something, or mean nothing! Thanks!
@ohsstdnt32 I can get to those links as well. I also have a notice in bright red that says “tuition due” for some reason… I do not know if this means anything.
