***Official UW Class of 2021 Acceptance Thread***

Daughter got in pre science. We are from Northern California.

Honestly my essays were a 7 at BEST. My EC’s were next to non existent besides a short tutoring job and a 60 hours of volunteering and I got in. I feel like they didn’t emphasize ECs and essays too much in my case

I have not heard anything back yet. Does anyone else have the same situation as I do? Or does this just simply mean I am rejected?

@aimeewang what are your stats? I believe I am in the same situation as you.

@aimeewang I am in the same situation as well.

@aimeewang @uw2021pls @Annabellemykitty not all acceptances have been sent out yet, UW said that themselves. I still haven’t heard anything back, but there’s no reason to let that feeling fester. The 15 day admissions period is to release staggered decisions, it has nothing to do with acceptances/denials…we aren’t even halfway through the decision period…don’t worry about it quite yet!

@Annabellemykitty, the UW Common Data Set reports that rigor of secondary school record, academic GPA, and application essays are “very important,” and standardized test scores, ECs, talent/ability, first generation, volunteer work, and work experience are “important.” Also “considered” in making admissions decisions are character/personal qualities and state residency.

Also in my daughters case. Practically zero ECs

I have 3.3 uw gpa, new sat 1340. What about you

@zyaw2021 have you been accepted yet? thats around my stats too and i havent heard anything yet

I don’t get the point of rolling out the final decisions, what’s the point? Why not just let them all out at once?

My son received his online acceptance yesterday but nothing yet in mail. ( instate) Accepted CSE, we think DA as it does not say “pre”

I’m feeling sooo anxious about this. My GPA is my weakest part of my application. UW 3.5 W 4.44 ACT: 31 SAT 1310 OOS from NC. My essays were pretty good I think and in the diversity essay I talked about how I grew up in Seattle and how I’ve moved around, etc. I know there’s no point in posting this but I’m just nervous haha!

I haven’t heard anything back yet :frowning:

Do they really not send out decisions over the weekend?

Generally, schools roll out decisions in waves as to not overload the systems.

This is essentially my stats, @ceefu1 3.65 GPA 1200 SAT, 3rd degree black belt and instructor.

Still haven’t heard anything…

Got in yesterday, from rural NW WA, 31 ACT/1350 SAT, 3.85 GPA unweighted. Applied honors but doubtful I’ll get in — essays were good and I have interdisciplinary/international interest, but stats aren’t really honors-level …

I would give my GPA out but my school does weird GPAs and doesn’t have unweighted GPAs so my weighted GPA out of 100 is a 92.9 which is kinda funky but whatevs…My ACT is a 33 which is alright and ECs for me are kinda unique so right now, I’m kinda just praying! ^:)^ Good luck to all of you!
