This is so weird… People with such high stats have been rejected… while I have a friend with 1300/1600 SAT and 3.0/4 GPA accepted
They focus more on essays and ECs because those show them who you really are as a person. There are people with high stats who also got in not because of their stats but because of their essays. @kassyD
@kassyD perhaps she has good essays and ec or something ao likes, do you have your decision btw?
and for reference on the quality of my essays, I’ve been published multiple times for essays I’ve written and won a few contests for writing, so my essays obviously weren’t horrible. I’m not sure what happened…I feel like I should’ve been at least waitlisted.

Guys I agree ECs and personality make a huge difference. I’m not saying that anyone accepted is undeserving of it. Everyone has worked hard to get. I just find it hard to believe they’d reject someone with 35 ACT high GPA bunch of ECs based on his/her essays… No I haven’t received my decision… expecting a rejection letter soon

I’m from California…people who don’t receive a decision or a rejection letter today must be so frustrated…considering they don’t update over the weekend
