***Official UW Class of 2021 Acceptance Thread***

Quick question about Foster Freshman direct. I still haven’t gotten my letter, but I know through MyUW that I’m in. On my unofficial transcript it says College: Business School, Major: Business Administration.
Just wondering if this means for sure that I’m in, or if its indicating that those are what I applied for.
Thanks!

@cooperrw1 i have pre-major on mine even tho i applied for business. So if you have that, its a good sign! Just wait for the mail to come in

I’m not gonna lie I’m about to punch my computer. I keep trying to submit the waitlist form and it keeps kicking me off and making me redo it

uw gpa of 3.8, ACT 29, 5 APs, 2 honors classes, seal of biliteracy, and lots of ECs. ugh, UW is my number one school so really hoping that they accept me off of the waitlist. fingers crossed

for the waitlist form, does 4 credits=1 semester? confused

Waitlisted.

In state at a school with excellent relationship with UW. 1390 SAT 4.5 weighted gpa. I’m honestly shocked to say the least.

Wow, sounds like the competition was tough this year. I’m curious as to what the acceptance rate was. It was 45% last year, it may have decreased yet again. I’m sorry guys. Now I feel grateful that I got accepted, even if I’m disappointed that I didn’t get CSE DA (unless my letter is different from my unofficial transcript, which is very doubtful). Good luck to those on the wait list

Waitlisted OOS Bay Area (seems like they waitlisted a lot of people LOL)

3.6 UW GPA
Maybe like 2 AP’s
A few mediocre EC’s + a mediocre internship LOL
An OK essay
I think the school I went to really boosted my application OR UW is just crazy LOL

honestly I have no idea why I didn’t get rejected… UW was by far my
first choice though… the only other OK university i got into was UCSC.

ALSO I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT THE WAITLIST FORM DO YOU GUYS REMEMBER HOW THEY COUNT CREDITS??? was it 0.5 credits per quarter or??? thanks!!!

@Moonlight678, if you were not DA, you should be in a very strong position for general admission based on your academic ability (3.97 GPA UW, 1510 New SAT, etc.). Congratulations, and good luck!

@UWfromCA Thank you. I know that it’s not the end of the world that I didn’t get DA, but I was hoping I wouldn’t have to go through competitive admissions again after this. I’m open to other majors, including EE or ME, as I’m not 100% set on CSE, so I think UW is still a good choice for me (especially with in state tuition)

I get into UofToronto Comp Sci (21% acceptance rate, top 17 school in the world) and I don’t get into UW??? Wtf?!?

rejected :(( i applied for psychology

oos (california)

1370 new sat
3.4 gpa

3 aps, taking four this year

i really love uw, im thinking about writing an appeal because this is my top school. does anyone know how difficult it would be to challenge the admission decision?

are uw direct admits for like foster out yet?

i dont understand at all!!! thats okay tho, toronto is a good school!
