***Official UW Class of 2022 Decision Thread***

Has anyone received information (specifically a confirmation email) from udub yet about their application being recieved?

Nope, nothing yet.

Nope

Not yet

No confirmation emails yet. Anyone got theirs after the coalition app was submitted?

I thought they say in December but it’s Dec 8 now and yet still no confirmation email

You’ll be fine. All these people getting all worked up saying UW doesn’t care about backstory etc, they don’t know anything . I’m on the Young Executives of Color through the Foster School of Business and we have admissions come to us all the time giving us workshops on how to apply to UW and UW’s approach to admissions. They do a very holistic approach. They accepted a student who had below a 3.0 because of his backstory and how he worded that in his essay. Don’t let these people freak you out, I know from first hand experience based on the college admission officials who speak to us.

What are my chances?

10 APs

lifeguard job one summer, ice cream server the next summer
volunteer at food bank, volunteer for mayoral campaign
essay good, worked on it for weeks
I am a little worried that I didn’t apply to the honors college, could that change anything?
applied for bioengineering major
I also never got a confirmation email from them saying I had applied
ALSO money wise, what are we thinking? could I get any money? I am from out of state (Louisiana)

Anyone get a letter yet?

Anyone know when the Portal will be open?? I really want to know if UW got my stuff.

Out of state makes it virtually impossible to get direct admit to bioengineering. You will have to apply to the program at the end of freshman year.
