***Official UW Class of 2022 Decision Thread***

@intladm see thread #473: Most likely most applicants (not all, again our window is until the 15th) in the later part of this week. I wouldn’t excessively be checking MyUW tomorrow.

@UWadmissionstaff thanks again for clarifying everything for everyone. Everyone is anxious and good to have a voice of reason.

@sryear If you accept your offer to UW Bothell, you can’t enroll in UW Seattle. Just ignore your Bothell acceptance until you hear back from Seattle and you’ll be fine!

Ok

@Huskybound There are no acceptances today.

Anyone else get only this on their screen when they log into myUW? :

@chefboy I had that yesterday but back to normal today

I’m so anxious

Me too, big time, but it’s gonna be okay for all of us. Whatever happens, we’re gonna end up where we belong. Keep focused & good luck <3

Anyone else get accepted to seattle U? Is it a good school, I didn’t do that much research on it

This is quite stressful First uw says March first and then people say the fifth. Now we have to keep waiting. Urrrghhh. UW please send them out.

@Sumaya123 SeattleU is an excellent school! I am pretty sure there is another thread about it. Congratulations!

@sumaya123 , have you got the result?

Aww thanks!! Yeah I got in!! But I really want UW.

Dear UW,

Honestly, I have been spending the last 6 months distracting myself from your college by applying to a bunch of random wack schools that I have no intention of stepping foot on, just waiting for March 1 to come so that you would restore balance to the world. Then March 1 comes and you say psych.

But it does not end there. Then I am told to wait until March 5, and I think to myself, “Hey, it’s just five days nothing I can’t handle”, BUT YOU LIED. Oops, you did it again.

Now I am stuck checking myUW hourly because there is no specifc date set, and I’m sure others are experiencing the same thing. Come on UW, why do y’all have to screw with a bunch of teenagers emotions? You already do that to your wannabe CS majors.

Sincerely,
A disturbed applicant

@lskoforte Yes, but it probably doesn’t mean anything

@WolfBlood I feel your pain (prospective student as well). UW did say that their notification period was between March 1st and 15th though… So they aren’t really lying. We just gotta keep doing what we are doing and stay focused.

Take it easy, @WolfBlood. While we can all relate to your sense of anxiety, you must also appreciate that the admissions team at UW has to go through tens of thousands of applications in a very short period of time. No easy task. March 1-15 is a sufficiently small number of days for all of us to hang in. Think of it this way: you have more time to pray.

@ReyDad While I understand what you’re saying, I must say that I disagree with you. Yes, the UW admissions team has gone through tons of applications, but they have had approximately 4 months to do so (since November 15th). This is a tremendous undertaking, but UW is not the only college facing such large applicant numbers, and UW’s application deadline was earlier than most (as far as I know).

Yes, and typically universities release all in one day at a stated time. I don’t mind playing the waiting game, but I prefer the other method.
