Actually really surprised I got in when comparing to other people’s stats. My personal essay was formatted in a way of a C++ Code so I could make it stand out. Congratulations to the people who got in!

I forgot to add, in state.

@fergie24x no change in our portal either. Was this this first wave ? Anyone know ?

Even with your stellar grades & test scores and being in state, the majority of CS majors don’t get direct admit. Keep in mind that you will very likely get in sophomore year and this gives you a year to get a feel for what you want to do. Also the programs will be expanding the following year which may give you more options. Our older son has a friend who was not a CS direct admit, but got in as a sophomore. She got a great internship the summer after freshman year, a paid one the following summer and was offered a starting salary by another tech company of $160K a year prior to completing her junior year.

Just realized that I had forgotten to even publish my results, whoops!

Accepted!!!

Major: Pre-sciences (Applied for neurobiology and biology)

I probably will only go to UW if I got into the neurobiology program. I’m more of an individualized attention type of person for learning so if I didn’t get in I probably will choose one of the smaller liberal arts schools instead. Still super excited tho!!!

ACT: 31

Accepted!

SAT: 1260 (my weak spot)
GPA: 4.3 (or higher I think)
Applied for: Business Administration
Accepted to: Pre-major science & art

Personally, I think it was my essays that got me in because I am not a good test taker (clearly reflected in my score). I appreciate schools like this that see beyond numbers and actually take the time to read what I’ve written. So, to the UW admissions staff, thank you! Yay!

Still nothing from the portal after the delay :slightly_frowning_face:

Accepted!
Asian-American

GPA: 3.74 (UW)

SAT: 1230 (superscored)

Ap: AP World sophomore year

Wrote a sob story essay about my fear of being worthless.

Full-time Running Start since junior year: Getting my Associates degree at the end of this year, but didn’t get direct admit to College of Engineering which didn’t really surprise me because there were so many other applicants who are more qualified.

I got in!!! OMG!!!
Stats if you want to know:
SAT 1290
GPA: 4.6 weighted and 3.8 unweighted
Political Science Major
OOS
Essays: Main one about being in the Women’s March and introspection about myself. The second one about being the daughter of immigrants.
6 EC’s - job, honors clubs, department of social services internship

Very surprised I was rejected
32 ACT
3.6 UW
3.8 W (struggled freshman year but have had above a 4.0 every other year)
Many extracurriculars (three varsity sports, founding a camp for inner city youth, etc.)
Over 200 service hours
5 APs
Maybe my essay was subpar (one about hispanic roots and one about AP Calc BC class)
Applied for business administration
Can anyone give me a little insight on this year’s freshman profile or why I got rejected?

wait i am confused are all of your results from the first wave or???
