***Official UW Class of 2022 Decision Thread***

If you’re “pre health or pre public health”, does that mean if you apply for Business Administration in your sophomore year at UW, you’re still considered undecided and won’t be weighed differently from those who got pre major (applied for Business Administration but did not get in for Direct to Business)?

For those of you that didn’t have your portals updated, my friend was in the same situation and was worried like everyone, but when she went home today she got her acceptance letter!

Rejected
OOS
1220 SAT
26 ACT
GPA: 3.6
Expected Rejection

just got my acceptance letter in the mail (in state)! I was wondering if anyone received scholarship information with their letter, or is it coming out at a later time?

Yeah, I wanted to see if there was a date for financial award.

@bobos942 do you mind my asking if you’re on the west or east side? Kinda hoping I get a letter today since I haven’t heard anything

According to UWAdmissionsStaff posts 167, 168 and 176:

“Honors decisions will follow a few weeks after regular decisions. The timeline is posted on their website: https://honors.uw.edu/apply/freshman/

The Purple & Gold scholarship (for U.S. non-residents) goes out with the offer letter, but all others go out with the financial aid award.

Financial aid notifications are typically sent approximately 2 weeks after admissions notifications.”

I still haven’t heard anything at all, and nothing has come in the mail for me. I just wish I knew when the next wave of decisions was coming.

@mhngyn Damn your GPA is better than mine and you got REJECTED? That sucks!
Did you like not have any AP or Honors classes? Because you seem like a good package for UW!

@LilZahs My school has a joint class of AP American Government and AP Comparative Government (fittingly called AP American/Comparative Government) for 1 period that goes over both curriculums but goes mostly in the American Government direction and most students take the American Government exam from it.

Accepted for bioengineering!

Good essays but I wouldn’t say they were amazing

@alli18 Nope. I’m in Orange County and I haven’t gotten anything. How I like to think of it is: If Amazon Prime can do two-day shipping, UW should at least be able to get it to us by the end of the week. The wait continues haha

Got my acceptance letter today (in state), portal still hasn’t updated though. Also shows that they do adhere to the holistic approach as I had a 3.4 UW GPA when I applied, but have attended a pretty rigorous college program for the past two years and will have over 100 college credits by graduation.

OOS rejected with a 1440 and 3.8/4.0. Not sure how. My friend got in with lower grades and scores and has the same stats as me…

Accepted!
GPA: 3.85
SAT: 1440
(In-state)
Strong diversity essay
There’s been some upset at my school because some very qualified students got rejected which is surprising!
