***Official UW Class of 2022 Decision Thread***

Thanks—those are the stats for CS majors using the current DA program; what I’m wondering about is CE majors, admitted under the brand new ‘direct to college’ program. Looks like about half of Eng majors are admitted that way, according to the website.

According to this page

Does anyone know about financial aid? My portal just says no aid has been awarded at this time. I’m hoping that doesn’t mean no aid period…

While I was critical of the communications around the admissions window, I have to say that the acceptance materials, website, video, etc are extremely well done

Any international students here planning on going to UW? If yes then what major?!

@intladm planning on going. Engineering (direct admit)

Has any international student received their packet in the mail. I was accepted around 9 days ago and still haven’t received anything.

@StressedSeniorInt hey me too! Direct to COE. Where are you from?!

@Tennisboy2022 nope I haven’t received it either

@intladm private message me. (im not sure if CC offers the PM feature haha)

Looks like a beautiful day on the UW Quad with the cherry trees blooming:

My son received a nice packet with the admissions offer in the mail yesterday, March 17, postmarked March 14 with the Purple and Gold award!

Can anyone comment on living in Hansee Hall (single rooms and quiet)?

@BayAreaMom15, a Google search of Hansee Hall will bring up some photos and Google reviews. It is one of the prettiest buildings on campus, in my opinion.

More information (and photos ) here:

Congratulations to your son!

@BayAreaMom15 Hansee is the oldest dorm on campus, so it lacks some of the amenities and conveniences of the new dorms. It is the farthest walk to class of the north campus dorms. The stereotype of Hansee residents is upperclassmen or antisocial people who keep their doors closed and don’t interact with others. If a quiet environment is most important to your son, then Hansee would be a good choice. Although there will be a construction zone nearby where they are replacing some of the other old dorms, so it might not always be as quiet as usual.

Does anyone know when the link to apply for housing will come out? I have been looking for it but can’t find it.

@varunchawla99 , I’m pretty sure housing application comes in May, right after decision day.

@BayAreaMom15 , we took a UW housing tour last year and we are impressed by the West campus dorm rooms, since they are brand new and with all modern amenities. Some North campus old dorms don’t even have WIFI … not sure if Hansee Hall is one of them or not. Definitely ask. My son can’t survive without WiFi.

Hey guys!
I am an admitted student; however, I haven’t got my official letter yet, and when I checked my portal this morning, it said my ID is not in the database. I am a little bit confused now. Does anyone have the same thing? Or is there anything wrong? Anxious now.! Thanks!

@chrisdong I haven’t received anything yet either (DA CS), in Washington, but am not worried. You can write the IT helpdesk to figure out why your ID isn’t working.

Thank you! I am getting nervous LOL

Congratulations! Can you share his stats? My daughter is applying this coming year and we are OOS.

@Shimainu , @bogeyorpar , @UWfromCA Thank you for your comments on Hansee and the dorms. I can’t believe any dorm would not have Wifi!

@varunchawla99 The brochure that was sent in the admissions packet says the priority dates to sign up for on-campus housing are May 3-9. My son and I couldn’t find it anywhere on the website either!
