***Official UW Class of 2023 Decision Thread***

DD got her acceptance yesterday (on the portal) along with acceptance into her major (Engineering) in the welcome message. She is out of state so need to see any financial aid before deciding (also got into UC Davis yesterday and University of Toronto). Still waiting on other UC’s and a few private universities.

Still no word. Whaaaattttt…

blegh

I know right?

im beginning to think there’s something wrong with my application but im pretty sure there isn’t. so.

My D received her acceptance in the mail today. An oversized envelope with Congratulations written on the back, not front. We have Informed Delivery and saw the postage was more than for a business envelope so knew this morning that she was most likely getting an acceptance letter. She had checked her portal last night but didn’t see it and thought it was confusing.

@higuys19 @SeniorSzn Same here. Still waiting

My son just got his acceptance envelope in the mail also. For those waiting for a response in the portal, maybe check their mail box?

@Escobar12 @swimmermom2 When you received the envelope did it off any scholarship info? Looking for a little purple and gold $$

@MLG2019 There was no financial aid info included with the packet. Just a short acceptance letter and small brochure plus an I heart Huskies thingy.

@UWfromCA
Thank you!

Ha, my S is so nonchalant with everything. He is not opening it yet. I’ll let you know in a bit when He finally does.

@MomElena
My D got into UC Davis yesterday too. Also waiting for USC and UCLA. Good luck to your daughter.

Just curious, those that have been accepted and are attending UW, what state will you be coming from?

@drumminggeek87 @SeniorSzn @higuys19 Fingers and toes crossed for you all!

I got waitlisted with a 3.67 UW, 3.95 weighted gpa, 8 APs (4 before senior year) and got 4s in Calc AB, Lang and apush, and a 5 in AP world. I got a 33 on my ACT, I’m a 4 year varsity lacrosse and football player, and I have over 100 hours volunteering at a Seattle homeless shelter. UW was my first choice, anyone know why I didn’t get in

Hi! I am an international students, which means that I have much lower acceptance rate than you do. I think essays are very important because it shows your story and your personality. There are tons of applicants who have amazing stats and extracurriculars as you do, so only your ps may help you to stand out.

I got rejected a couple days ago

1490 SAT
6 AP’s 4’s on all of them and taking 3 this year
3.35 GPA, but excluding freshman year, around 3.7 UW
I was super shocked by this because I got into far more selective colleges, but idk

Is anyone else going to try and appeal the decision?

Is the decision update by major? I applied neurobiology. Did anyone else apply neurobiology?
