@gipmaster, @jfjdjdj UW is a selective university. Based on the information posted on their website and the info they give at the campus/admissions visit, taking rigorous courses and getting mostly all A’s is important. They seem to be looking for a gpa that is higher than what you posted. You should talk to your guidance counselor who would be able to provide more useful insight than posters on this board.
^ 736 and 738: According to the UW’s Common Data Set, GPA is a “very important” factor in admissions decisions; standardized test scores are “important.”
According to last year’s Common Data Set, the unweighted GPAs of enrolled freshmen were:
3.75 to 4.0 = 68.37%
3.5 to 3.74 = 23.58%
3.25 to 3.49 = 5.36%
3.0 to 3.24 = 2.06%
Under 3.0 = 0.63%
Bear in mind, “enrolled” stats are generally lower than “admitted” stats on account of yield. I would not be surprised if the admitted average GPA is around 3.85 and the enrolled average GPA is 3.80 or higher this year (it was 3.79 last year).
Anything yet?
nope. i applied for CS and still havent heard
Nothing so far
Let’s see if anything comes up till 8:50 coz my cousin heard back last year March 9th 8:30 something
@SeniorSzn @higuys19 Nothing here either. I’m worried I broke the portal from checking so often lol. It’s also like a real possibility that my mailman did not deliver something he was supposed to, because we constantly get mail late and have at least one piece of mail intended for someone else dropped in our mailbox everyday. I’m really worried he’s going to deliver all of my college decisions to the wrong houses lmao
@drumminggeek87 Oh noo. I went to the mailbox twice today ??? and there was nothing from UW.
@SeniorSzn Oh my gosh ??? I’m so tired of waiting lol

Is there any point in appealing rejection from engineering, but admission to arts and sciences?

Did anyone get a Direct Admit to Computer Science? (I haven’t seen it but may have missed it in 51pgs).
