[ *] State or Country: Turkey
[ *] School Type: Private, IB school
[ *] Ethnicity: white turkish
[ *] Gender: male
[ *] major strength/weakness: my grades certainly were my weakness. on the other hand I had such extracurriculars as playing three instruments, attending to a conservatory, representing school and my country in international confereces, and working experience
[ *] why you think you were accepted/rejected/defered: I do think that the interview I made with a Vanderbilt alumnus did affected my decision. I also had the chance to meet with the international admission officer of Vanderbilt, and talked with him when he visited our school, he liked me :D
I also think that, although my grades are not fantastic, being an IB student affected this decision
[ *] going to attend?: probably, unless I get accepted to CMU or JHU - someting that I'm not expecting
[ /list][ b]Other Factors:[ /b] I really was not expecting to get in after reading all those stuff about how Vanderbilt had its' most competitive admission history. I'm both surprised and delighted. I'm admitted to the school of Engineering btw.</p>
