I really don’t know.

THEIR LOSS.
Sorry im not jewish or from Montana.
This is ridiculous

You too man, wherever you get in. In all honesty, it’s the inconvenience that sucks the most. If i got rejected, i;d have to fill out like 10 apps in a week or something. Everyone her on CC will do fine anyway

Um, excuse me. No, I didn’t.
It’s in the middle 50%. So, idk who you are, but I just got rejected from the college I’ve wanted to go to since I was 5, so if you’re going to be a jerk, go on somewhere please.
Thanks.

HKlove, a 31 on the act is not a weakness. Do not worry about that. In fact, don’t worry about not getting in at all. You will be a great addition to whatever school you end up attending. Don’t let it get you down.

Um, excuse me, you aren’t the only one who has dreams. You aren’t the only only one whose dreams got “crushed” by a college letter. I understand that this is a difficult time for everyone as I am anxious to get my letter in a couple of days. But in one of your previous posts in this thread, you sarcastically thanked people from Montana and Jewish students for ruining your chances. And also in the other thread, you said that minorities always have an edge when it comes to admissions.

It’s bold and genuine of someone to move on from a rejection. But to make excuses and blame a certain demographic/ethnicity is another story. You are the one who’s being a jerk. Suck it up and start looking for other colleges. It’s not the end of the world. You’ll find an alternative school that’ll get you to where you want to go. By the looks of your stats, you are definitely qualified to go to one.

The key word being “sarcastic”.
If you ask anybody, ANYBODY, that is knowledgable about Vanderbilt admissions, they’re going to tell you that being a minority DOES help.
I don’t think theres anything wrong with saying that. But telling ME that I have a weakness when i just got rejected is ok? Ha. Funny.
At Vanderbilt, minorities DO have an advantage, check the stats if you don’t know them already. I have lived in Nashville all of my life, attended EVERY Vanderbilt football game since I knew what football was. I am around these people constantly. So, I know what kind of diversity there is. Yes, I’m bitter, who wouldn’t be. Doesn’t mean I’m knocking anyone elses “weaknesses”. If anything, I’m saying people have a BETTER chance.

I wasn’t blaming anybody. I was trying to lighten the fact that I didn’t get in. Sorry if i “offended” anyone.
And I already know where I’m going, and I have a feeling I’ll fit in way better there anyways, if this is the kind of people I was competing against.

Settle down guys. As a jew, i realize you were being sarcastic. And if i were in the same position, i’d be bitter as hell. Guys just relax. Tensions are high, and getting rejected is rough. Hell, 70% of us will figure that out soon enough.

What’s going on guys? i am so anxious… who has gotten accepted so far? i live in ny so when should i expect to receive my letter? good luck to all

She was able to post on this and we should respect her for that. Why do you need to put her down even more when she’s already upset as is? As enjolias said, “leave her the f alone”.

I wasn’t putting her down at all. But I feel like I’ve been a little harsh in my response. Again, this is a difficult time for us all so I wish the best for everyone.
