Hi everyone. I am a Chemical Engineering applicant and I was waitlisted on April 6th. Sorta disappointed but we shall see what happens.
Currently at GSU in Atlanta.
4.06 Undergrad GPA.
3.86 HS GPA.
2000 SAT.
My admission counselor told me that she was surprised that mine was not released last monday, and it should be up by next monday. Knowing that majority of the decisions were acceptance last week… hopefully what she said was a good sign ): Extremely nervous.
I was waitlisted last fall.

Math major/ actuarial sci minor
3.86 gpa (56 credits: Major gpa 3.89.)

working as a Resident Assistant on campus
worked as a full time math substitute in a public school district
lots of volunteering experiences(all involving math somehow)
REALLY personal/nice recommendations from math instructors who’ve taught me more than one course
uh, this is pretty much it. I applied to Grinnell, Emory, and Notre Dame also. Rejected from cornell.
@marianna0725 Thats a good sign for you! How did u ask your conunselor? Did you just directly ask about ur decision?
@udontknow Yes I did. last tuesday I called her and politely asked if she knows about when my decision is available. I thought asking wouldnt look bad since I submitted my app right around the deadline!
My counselor emailed me that my application is with the committees now and the decision will be made pretty soon. Is this a good sign? I am an engineer applicant.
@qlrp2012 can i ask what state you are from? I can’t seem to reach my counselor

I’m not really sure what happened this year. I transferred in last year and they seemed to let anyone in with a pulse.
Maybe they’ve tried to cut down enrollment this year? Not really sure.
@tysonisasaint welp… if they let “anyone” in… i feel pretty sad about it since i was waitlisted
