Official Vanderbilt 2015 Fall Transfer Thread

Accepted!! Peabody! Anyone get their financial aid packages yet too/know how that works/how to confirm your spot?

Rejected. Wow, this feels great after waiting for MONTHS, until the very end of the admissions cycle while sitting on pins and needles awaiting my decision. I honestly feel invisible, like they never even looked at my application.

Engineering, denied

Engineering-- waitlisted. Did any engineering applicant get accepted…?

@qlrp2012
Which engineering major did you apply for?

Electrical!

Applied Engineering > Electrical computer engineering > Computer Science and I was waitlisted today.

I was also waitlisted for cs

Accepted. Stats on one of the first pages. After being wait listed last year, this is really awesome. Econ major.

Waitlisted- CAS

Seems like everyone who applied to engineering got either wait listed or denied. Hopefully they will have some open spots for us  I went and visited today. met with my guidance counselor in person he said admitted 95 students from the list last year so our chances are decent! He also into August not give up on Vandy!.

I think I am going to Hopkins instead. Hopefully, one of you guys could be lucky and take my spot next week!

@TransferIntl I’ll probably turn down Vanderbilt’s offer, too. What should I do in order to do that? Call the admissions office? Email my counselor?

@creator Probably emailing your admissions counselor would be best. Where are you planning on going instead?

@bioengdude I’m still waiting to hear back from Columbia and Duke, but as of now, I’m probably going to Penn! I’ve already paid my deposit at Vandy, so at least one person should get off the waitlist soon.

Does anyone know how rooming works for transfers? Anyone know if roommates are randomly assigned or whether you can pick one/what dorm transfers live in or anything?

I just called admissions and they’ve started accepting people off the waitlist. Just check myappvu on a daily basis to see if you’re accepted.

Hey guys current transfer student here. I don’t know why it was so hard for engineering students this year, I guess there just weren’t enough spots. I definitely would not have gotten in if I applied this year.

@creator it’s best to e-mail your admissions counselor AND the admissions office. i put down my vandy deposit, but i will be matriculating elsewhere, so that leaves another spot open!! good luck everyone!

@gyuanyu Best of luck to you wherever you end up!
