General Comments: Well, not really sure what to say, since I applied here moreso as a safety. I used to take piano at Blair, if that counts for anything. Anyways, congrats to everyone else, and I’ll be sending in my declination ASAP to open up some more room for the waitlisted guys.

Haven’t heard anything from Jersey.

For those of you who were waitlisted, I know it’s tough to deal with … try not to take it personally. My D was accepted at Vandy, Tufts, and others, but she was waitlisted at Macalaster and Davidson … it’s just the way it goes. She graduated magna cum laude from Vandy last year, so it’s not like she wasn’t “good enough” for either of her waitlist schools. They just can’t accept all the great students who apply. Sometimes there is no figuring it out.

Decision: Accepted

Excited!

Still nothing … UGH!!!

time to pick up the phone, remember it is central time there. best wishes…

why is it time to pick up the phone? They said to wait until thursday…

oh…wow…sorry you have to wait then.

still nothing here in Eastern PA…ugh…

Can somebody verify if all the letters- admitted, waitlisted and denied- were sent priority flat rate? or just admits…Thanks.

Well kids from my high school got acceptances and rejections on the same day but I still haven’t gotten anything…Western PA FYI

Just spoke to admissions. waitlists and rejections were in a #10 envelope, not priority, but she said that doesn’t mean anything. Applicant ( not parent) can call on Friday for decision if mail is still not received

thanks nursegigi…not very encouraging though…seems admits should arrive ahead of others…

Don’t see much chatter on the Blair school thread - any music students out there?

This is not supposed to be an ignorant post but honestly just curious and thought i had a chance to get accepted…but the sad reality is that ive been denied by every school ive heard back from so far (stanford, rice, vandy) is anyone else being rejected habitually? haha Are they looking for the typical highschool success story? like leader and presidents of the service clubs because I thought my EC’s were solid and unique- ( i Mean come on… how many meat heads do you know that are valedictorians? lol just kidding calm down). I’m starting to lose hope in getting into a good school, i had glowing letters of REC and i don’t know what my weaknesses are…not saying i don’t have any they just don’t jump out at me… Please anyone have any advice or are experiencing the same thing?
