Official Vanderbilt ED1 Class of 2020 Discussion Thread

@lighght we are all hoping it will be on the 11th. For some years now they’ve released decisions on Friday (maybe to avoid angry students protesting their decisions) and this years’ Friday is 11th

Hello,
Sorry for being slow to the discussion game. Yet I will say for months I have looked at this thread but just didn’t feel the need to comment. I applied ED I as well. I would love for the decisions to come out on the 11th, but we all should just relax this Thanksgiving weekend knowing they probably have already made our individual decisions already. Which is eerie, especially for someone who has spent a lot of time anticipating this moment.
2 weeks. 2 weeks. 2 weeks.
Cheers.

Let’s get this thread popping! We need to beat last year. I will be the 2020 CollegePanda if need be, just say the word. lol. Good luck everybody. You’ve done all that you could do.

Uhm, what do you guys think will happen if I missed the deadline for CSS due date?

@Corgidore We have some pages to make up for! Just about 70. We need to be mathematical about this. 13 days and 70 pages. Just kidding of course.

@TheSardine you missed it as in a couple days late or you just realized now? I think that if you haven’t already contacted Vandy, and financial aid is dire in your attendance to the school you should hold off until ED2. The CSS profile is due on January 1st for that decision date! Good luck and I hope that everything works out :frowning:

13 more days!!!

Hey guys – just out of curiosity, when do you think they actually make the decisions for each individual applicant?
Do you think they make them as they go along, or wait until the very end and decide?

This video tells you exactly how they make the decisions

Thanks – What do you guys think the chances of them coming out on the 11th are?

What majors did you guys apply for!

Mechanical Engineering here!

I applied with the intentions of English but just the College of Arts and Sciences really

Holy noodles so many replies! I applied to Cell and Molecular Biology

Computer Science—probably one of the smallest majors at Vandy.

Political Science. Hoping to get on the Pre-Law track. Found this threat a few days ago and I have to say I think it’s a great idea! Like think about it, some of us will be classmates for the next four years  The rest of us, well, at least we’re all in the exact same boat. Y’all seem so accomplished and smart - I’d be honored to attend the same university as any of you.

Oh my gosh. Thread* not threat.

Any chance of getting with a 2000 SAT ED1? 680 CR 680 M 640 W.

3.85 GPA, many APs, great ECs, book award/scholar awards, lots of volunteer, leadership, from New England, Jewish, great letters of recommendation, great essay, white male

If everything is going for me except the scores which are below the 25th, is there even a shot?

Electrical engineering
