<p>I agree that this combination of old-tech (snail mail) and new tech (website announcement & pictures) is rather annoying. And Vandy could even probably save thousands by using email + first-class mail (and use that money for fin aid).</p>
<p>Anyway, minor rant done. For those in MA: there was always the chance that the mail drop happened late in the day on Mon, in which case expected delivery would be Thu. Hang in there!</p>

<p>I basically used the US Postal office online estimator and called the postal office. Basically everybody except for people in Hawaii and possibly Alaska should be receiving their mail today if they got accepted. I DIDN’T RECEIVE A MAIL AND I LIVE IN ARIZONA. (I called the postal office too!) I’M SO SAD :’(</p>

<p>Maybe Vandy has decided not to accept anyone from MA, because it’s populated by those darn Yankees. (Actually we’re mostly Red Sox fans here, but never mind.)</p>
<p>We’ll know for sure within a day or two, so I’m not taking it as gospel that non-delivery today means rejection. However, I checked the comments on the Vandy blog: the packages were mailed mid-morning Mon, so expected delivery in MA was definitely today.</p>
<p>(I’d be a bit surprised, to be honest, although applicants with strong credentials do sometimes get rejected from competitive schools. There’s always some uncertainty in the process.)</p>
<p>Any word on MA yet? I didn’t get anything in the mail today, and I haven’t had a chance to talk to my friend (who is definitely in). Anyone else see anything??? Why cant they be normal people and freaking email us?</p>
