Official Vanderbilt University Fall 2012 Transfer Thread

I was wondering about Vandy decisions because I thought they would be e-mailed. Looks like I should go check my mail…
(I basically ignore my mailbox - v - )

A Facebook group is a really good idea! Can you post the link on this forum when you make it? :)

Its not letting me create the group unless I can add someone to the group. I’m not sure why, I’ve never made a fb group. My name is Bailey Barham and i go to American University. Can someone add me then I’ll create the group and add that person. then we will have a group

Hoping to get my letter today, good or bad, hopefully today… Tired of all the stress and waiting.

^ I agree. Hopefully, we won’t be saying the same thing this time next week lol.

Accepted today! My Dad called me and open my envelope for me! He said it was in a large envelope. Now I’m just trying to figure out how to get the letter here…hmm. I attend UMass Amherst at the moment. I’m hoping that I can ask for an extension so that I can get my decisions from Wellesley and Emory as well. Financial aid from all of them is really what will decide for me.

Stats (just a brief summary):
College GPA: 3.8
HS GPA: low 90s on a 100 point scale (sorry I’m not really sure of my GPA because I studied abroad my junior year of high school and the grade are weighted differently)
SAT: 2060 Composite- 650R, 700M, 710W
College ECs: writing for school paper, a capella group, intramural softball
HS ECs: musical theater, crew, field hockey, a capella, ice hockey, volunteering (all at different points)
Something Cool: I studied abroad in France my junior year of high school and lived with a host family, so I speak French pretty well.

Reasons for applying: I wanted a smaller school compared to the large public University I attend in MA (approx 25,000 kids).

Good luck to all!

*oh and I’ve always worked a part-time job throughout high school and college, and I work full-time in the summer.

For those accepted, what is the time frame on decisions? And do you send a deposit too?

My deposit is due May 8th. The deposit is $400.

Accepted to CAS Political Science Major
GPA: 3.94 with all A’s sent for midterms
SAT: 2070 (1390 composite)

From Florida found out today

Accepted yesterday!

I go to NYU but my mom opened the envelope for me back home in CA.

Highschool GPA: 3.4
College GPA (I’m only a freshman right now): 3.675

They emailed me last monday asking for an official document that lists the courses I am currently enrolled in and a letter of good standing for this semester.

I requested to join the group! My name is Solange, accept me!

Yo Mike just requested…Junior Econ CAS accepted

We know it’s Sunday because there are no posts because the mail doesn’t come today. If someone gets their financial aid letter, please post. I’m eagerly awaiting my own.

Didn’t your financial aid award come with your award letter? Mine did. Did you turn your financial info aid before the deadline or something?

My financial aid didn’t come in my envelope.

my financial aid didn’t come with it either but I got my financial aid stuff on Saturday.

@transfermeow
When did you receive your acceptance letter? I received mine on Saturday, so maybe I’ll get financial aid early this week?

I’m not sure, but I think I was accepted undeclared. To those who think financial need plays a process in admissions, it isn’t true. My EFC was nearly 0. Also, I didn’t receive the mistake e-mail, so if you didn’t receive the e-mail and still haven’t heard, fear not!
