What were your stats, doublethetrouble?

Accepted. Got letter on the 26th of April.

Small West Coast School.

HELLZ YEAH

Congrats! Do you mind posting your stats?

I emailed my counselor and he said “We have not mailed decisions at this time.”

What does this mean?

is there anyone from MA who is still waiting on their decision?

haven’t gotten mine yet :(

@illinois when did you get the complete app email?

Just got my email confirmation today. Fuuuu I had everything in so long ago lol

10char

@ doublethetrouble
Wow, I am shocked that you got waitlisted with those stats!

@Illinoistransfer
when did u get the complete app email and what are ur stats?

@npat89: I’m pretty shocked, too, but I’ll just have to wait for the end result. Good luck to you.

That is quite shocking. The only thing that is somewhat on the low side is your ACT, but you think that would be negated by the fact that you were the valedictorian. Good luck to you. I’m sure you will get into a great school.

Thanks, maybe I’ll get off the waitlist. Time will tell.

I really wouldn’t worry about the waitlist.

Year 2011
533 applicants
298 accepted
171 enrolled

Acceptance Rate of 56%

Assuming all of those who were not accepted are waitlisted:
You will have a waitlist acceptance rate of (298-171)/598 = approx 25% acceptance off the waitlist. This is under the assumption that if you’re not accepted you’re put on the waitlist. In reality, they probably only waitlist the amount of people that they know historically will not enroll. The waitlist acceptance rate is probably close to 100%.

Vanderbilt waitlisting is akin to USC spring grade report in all likelihood, going off past threads and friend experiences.

I’m very confused by your numbers, majoreco. I’m probably just interpreting them wrong, but here is what I know:

Click here - <a href=“BigFuture College Search”>BigFuture College Search;

Click on “For Transfer Students”

Here you will find the official statistics:

1,151 - applied
366 - accepted
366/1151 = 31.8% admitted

Has anyone been rejected yet? I haven’t heard anything from Vandy since the email saying they have started reviewing transfer apps.

I got my data from here:

http://collegeprowl[er].com/vanderbilt-university/statistics/

[Transfer Student Numbers on the Rise at Vanderbilt University - Transferweb](Transfer Student Numbers on the Rise at Vanderbilt University - Transferweb)

But it looks like college prowl[er] was referring to 2010 data. The 2011 acceptance rate is indeed ~33%. The point still stands even with that though. That still comes out to a 15% waitlist acceptance. About the same odds of getting a heads on a coin three times in the row.

Chillax waitlistees :D

Hello All,

I was accepted and I received the confirmation email on the 27th of March.

Here are my statistics:

ACT: 29

College GPA: 3.44

High School GPA: 3.1

Good luck to all who haven’t heard back yet.

Congrats! Were you hooked?

Definitely seems like Vanderbilt is behind schedule this year in terms of sending out letters.
