I’m only just finishing up my second semester and I have a W from my first one, if I do well on my finals next week, I’ll have a 3.9 GPA. But, unlike the rest of you, I’m dreading a letter next week, because I don’t see how they could possibly accept me without seeing my second semester grades.

3.9 cumulative or 3.9 for the spring semester?

I just spoke with someone and they said decisions are being sent out as we speak.

So much conflicting information! I don’t know what to believe!

Well, if Nashville people get their decisions tomorrow, then we know they’re being sent out.

True. Do you know how the decisions are sent (express mail, priority mail, regular mail)?

First Class Mail

Thanks. So if decisions are mailed today, then everyone who is part of the first wave should receive their letters by Friday, maybe Saturday, at the latest.

I meant “Saturday, maybe Monday, at the latest”* I guess it depends how late in the day the letters are mailed.

@anontransfer93

3.9 cumulative, A’s except for a B+ in a history class and a W in an acting class (econ major), which I’m worried will have a strong negative effect on my app. I wasn’t planning on transferring when I withdrew from the class, but there’s nothing I can do about it now. My midterm reports had all A’s, but I have to study up and keep them there after finals!

Also, I read somewhere that Vandy isn’t need blind for transfers, which might screw me over.

That’s a fantastic GPA eric2dea! I doubt the W would have as large an impact as it would if it was in Econ or Calc or any College of Arts & Sciences type class if you’re applying as an Econ major.

Also does not need-blind mean the possibility that higher income brackets get preference/lower income brackets are at disadvantage in the admissions process? I never understood what that meant

USPS calculator says that I won’t get my decision till Saturday if it was mailed today :(

Waiting. I wonder if it will be this week or next week?

hoping next week the later the better for me…talking with my area reader think i am gonna get wait-listed so they can see my 2nd semester grades … don’t want all the transfer spots to be gone before i send my finial grades in early may…

It would be really great if someone from Vandy could give us a definitive answer. Someone from Vandy?

sweet, if decisions are indeed mailed today I’ll get mine tomorrow
