Hey, congrats! I guess we’re on our way!

@shawshank yes, the decision was sent to my house right outside Nashville

I haven’t made an absolute decision, but I am currently a sophomore at Boston College, Political Science abd Religious Studies major with what should be a 3.6-3.7 GPA by semester’s end. ECs include volunteer work, interning at an inner city adult education center, and working at the advising center at BC.

Good luck to everyone hearing decisions this week!

Vandyhopeful, when did you get your application complete email?

back in March, I think it might have been the 11th

Can you describe the appearance of the acceptance packet please? Also, congrats on getting accepted! Guess we’ll hear from more Nashville people today.

^^ Really? Lol

Honestly, it’s probably not a good idea to make so much out of your acceptance or rejection. Regardless of the decision, your life will still go on and you will receive a great education if you chose so. Making a fantasy of it will only hurt you psychologically if you are turned away. By the way this tip is for all who are a bit too anxious for replies.

Hey congrats Vandyhopeful2013! I applied from BC too, I’m sure it won’t be the easiest decision leaving the heights but Vandy looks like a great school to be at! I hope to hear back soon

I honestly don’t care whether I get rejected or not. But, I’m curious as to what it looks like that’s all. I’ll be perfectly content with my life whether or not I get in.

got my app complete April 10th think i will be waiting for ever !!!

hey! i’ve been lurking this for a while but i decided it was time to contribute to this. i also got accepted to Vanderbilt today and i live right outside of nashville! @lelouchFTW, i got my acceptance in a large priority mail envelope and it said “CONGRATS” on the front. i also got my app completion on april 1st so i was surprised that i found out today. good luck to everyone on here and i hope that i get to meet you all there!

Would you care to share your stats, ayed00? And your major at Vandy?

Kinda ready to get my “we regret to inform you” letter… so i can transfer to the University of Richmond an get it over with hahahaha either way i get away from my current college hahah but still really want Vandy who am i kidding haha

ayed00, congrats! do you mind sharing your stats?

Hey everyone. I lurked this thread awhile back while I was freaking out about my chances and I just got my acceptance letter today! I’m so happy and I hope you guys all get in as well so we can be classmates!

Since people asked ayed00 to share their stats, I figured I would post a few of mine if people are interested. I had a 2220 SAT, 33 ACT, 5’s on all of my AP exams, a 3.70 weighted GPA in high school and a 3.74 GPA after my first semester at the college I’m currently at. I’m in the honors program here as well.

Good luck guys!

Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted! I hope I will receive the same good news as you. I live right outside Chicago, which I suppose isn’t too far from Nashville (compared to many other areas in the U.S.), so I am hoping I will hear back on Monday. Good luck to everyone who is in the same boat as me and is still waiting!

Hey, congrats everyone! I’m on the left coast, so I’ll probably be waiting forever, though I got my app in Jan., and my complete in March. Thanks for the details, and I hope to share your good news in the next 48 hours. I think a WL decision would be like purgatory at this point, so that’s probably what would happen to me, luck being what it is lately. And Brighton, Richmond is a great backup. I have Michigan and UNC, but Vandy is my #1.

i go to a regional university and im going to be a sophomore next year. i applied to peabody.

i currently have a 3.98/4.0. as for extracurriculars, pretty average stuff. just involvement in campus professional clubs, volunteering etc. i did get to go to a alternative spring break trip and also got a scholarship to study abroad this summer.

in high school i had a 4.45/5.0 (my school weirdly did the GPA, i got straight As though) and 30 ACT. extracurriculars pretty average again.

i really hope that this helps! good luck to everyone!

Hey guys,

I received my acceptance letter yesterday (live in Nashville).

It looks like I should have lived in Nashville…lol!
