@Prospects80 I don’t think it’s May 1st. Someone on the admissions blog asked a question about the decisions coming out later this year due to the extension of the priority deadline, and they said that that wouldn’t effect our decision date if we turned in early.

Reading through last year’s thread, it appears as though admissions made decisions on a round of applications each Friday. However, applicants were notified by mail, and could potentially receive their decision any day of the week. Seeing as there is an online system in place, and notification would be immediate through it, is that mean the earliest anyone will hear back is next Friday?

@jg94403 no I don’t think so, seeing as some people have already heard back. Plus, some people from ED1 and ED2 got their decisions through MyAppVU on a Tuesday, I believe.

Also, what are your stats?

Stats:

HS GPA: 3.94 (School doesn’t weight, but took 9 AP classes, and I went to a three year HS)
Class rank: Top 5%, unweighted
ACT: 31 (32 E, 31 M, 33 R, 29 S, Essay 11) ; SAT: 2100 (650 CR, 660 M, 790 W, Essay 12)
EC’s - President FBLA, twice placed second nationally, President No Place For Hate, officer MUN with a few research paper awards, internship with political fundraising company (with a few prominent clients), volunteer for local state representative, part time job, along with mock trial, honors society, and a few other things that I didn’t include on app.

College GPA: 3.8 (includes a couple College in the HS classes. Without them it would be a tad higher)
EC’s: Leadership with non-profit higher education access program for first-generation, low-income students (has some notoriety since it is funded by Gates Foundation), volunteer as tutor with low-income students (98% of students are first-generation East African immigrants), consulting program that paired me with local start up, entrepreneurship program, TEDx at my school, and a few smaller activities I didn’t include.

I guess some additional info, I attend a large, top 50, in-state public school. I am transferring because I am switching majors to one not offered by itself at my current university.

Nothing that especially stands out, but hopefully it’s enough to merit consideration.

@jg94403, nice! Are you applying anywhere else?

A pair of small LACs and one larger state school that I’d previously been accepted to. Like almost everyone, I’m ready to hear back haha. Waiting is just too stressful.

I’m so anxious to hear since this is the only school that didn’t give an exact date so I have no idea when to expect

@Yellowbug88 Nice stats!
