So @erin11 called yesterday and they told her that they’re going by when you turned your application in, which makes me upset since I turned mine in so long ago. I keep getting excited for the end of the week so I can finally find out my decision only to be let down, and I’m just really hoping that it’ll be this next week.

Hey guys just got accepted a couple days ago into CAS for Econ!

High School GPA: 4.2/5 (weighted)
College GPA: 3.4/4
ACT: 30
Letters: got 1 from a professor and 1 from a teacher
Essays: Solid; considering my GPA and scores weren’t phenomenal, I would say this set me apart
EC: Volunteer work, leadership in clubs, several internships

It looks like the CAS acceptance letters are still coming, so best of luck to everyone :)

@CaptTShannan as much as I am also disappointed from not having heard yet, I think there’s always two sides to everything! We have to stay positive! I’m sure there are plenty of people who have been rejected already (and they would be less likely to post about it on this forum) and the fact that we haven’t been yet probably means that we aren’t automatic rejects! But I understand how anxious you are to find out…I’m in the same boat . Hopefully this next weekend!

@CapTShannan @jfcampos It also seems that the majority of people getting in are Econ majors maybe the Peabody school has not reviewed all of its priority applicants yet. I wish you both the best of luck

@banker92 haha I applied Grinnell, Wellesley, U mich, vandy, UT Austin, and cornell(and I think I saw your post in Cornell thread also haha).

@jfcampos you’re right, I should be staying positive. And @HopefulScholar64, I’ve noticed that too and I’m hoping that’s the case.

@marianna0725 hahaha! Yea… I am also awaiting to hear from Cornell. My decision comes out on 22nd so the waiting game is about to end. Which program at Cornell did you apply to?

You have got a pretty solid list of colleges. Hope you get in all! haha :D

@banker92 ): It sucks cuz it doesnt show me the decision date thing…Im guessing cornell is rejecting me again. Sigh.

I think they’re releasing the decisions in waves so it all depends on the program you applied to. For example, I doubt anyone who has applied to ILR has heard back. Don’t lose hope just yet!
I think 22nd is mostly for CALS (AEM) program.

@banker92 the issue is… I applied CAS and people heard back from CAS few days ago…): Though it was all Econ so hopefully math majors havnt heard back yet): Can someone post who applied to which program?

Hey friends

I am a transfer orientation leader at Vandy! Congratulations to all those who have been accepted and good luck to those who are still waiting to hear back.

Future/ Prospective transfers, please join the transfer Facebook group page here (https://www.facebook.com/groups/731564980198754/)

Can’t wait t to meet you all in the fall!

ANCHOR DOWN

My D applied CAS–psych/pre med. Admitted Saturday. Hope this helps.

@creo11195 I’ve been accepted, but I don’t have a Vanderbilt email yet. Is there any way to join the group without a Vandy email? Thanks!

@haliseciv I got accepted on 04/05, put on my deposit on 04/12, and just got my VUnet ID/email today. You will get it eventually.

still waiting on peabody

I have been reading this for ever and am very discouraged. I had everything in by March 15 and applied to CAS. I am pretty sure the answer is no. I am VERY curious to know if anyone has been rejected…the wait is killing me and I just want to know

@Boneyboy what are your stats?

we all have to realize that not close to everyone who applied is posting in this forum and that no body has said they were denied. so we can’t be negative given those to things.

It would just be interesting to know if anyone was told no. I am happy for all of those accepted but it gets a little scarier every time a Friday comes and goes with no word.
31 ACT
3.4 top 20 university
High school 4.0/4.0
Essays- I think they were pretty good, didn’t really express my love for vandy enough
Lots of high school ec’s- not too many in college. I am a freshman and one B- in a 4 credit class killed my gpa. I did send in my mid semester report that shows all A’s and 1 B

@boneyboy You should call admissions and ask them if there is a technical issue with your application. I called them on Friday and discovered that I was supposed to get my admissions decision two weeks ago. Luckily, they are planning on reviewing my application by Wednesday.
