Moneyp, don’t worry, I’m sure he’ll get into better schools (assuming that he’s applied to a few that are more generous with aid). It’s difficult to get so much aid from smaller schools. I am in the same situation. I had been considering Vassar as a near safety, but I still got rejected. I think it’s because they can’t pay so much money as fin aid for international students …

General Comments:
I didn’t realize how competitive Vassar has gotten. My school counselor thought it was a little bit of a reach for me, but it proved to be much more than that. I’m pretty disappointed, especially since I got another rejection and waitlist in the same day :/
