Hey guys, I’ve been lurking on this thread (didn’t want to say anything until I had a definite result haha) but I’m in! Can’t wait to see you guys in the fall! And to those who got rejected–I’m sorry you’ll find the place that’s right for you, even if it doesn’t seem like it now. It all works out in the end

@JJ4812, just knew you were recruited by coach, a different pool in the admissions…
@revjoe, @epicsurf, @kaylak1515, @incomingfreshmen, @ginger99, congratulation on your achievements!!! Could you please share your STATS for helping others? Thanks
Sure! I got a 34 on my ACT and have a 4.26 GPA (weighted). I got 2 5s on APs (APUSH & psychology) and a 780 on the history SAT II.
Also, I’m from NJ- I think it will be nice to go somewhere close(ish) to home!
I’m from Maryland. I have a 3.6 unweighted GPA and 4.35 weighted (yikes). My superscored SAT was a 1420 (730 on reading, 690 on math…double yikes). Essays were pretty good, especially Common App–it showed personal growth and my personality–and my ECs are pretty standard. I didn’t submit a YourSpace but I did submit a music portfolio. I’m also a double legacy at Vassar (both of my parents went there), so that along with the ED definitely helped my chances.
Obviously I’m no straight-A student (I kind of feel like I didn’t deserve to get in ), and I really wasn’t expecting to get in at all! Just make sure your essays are really great and genuine (Vassar likes to see that) and don’t leave the supplementals until the last second like I did. To everyone who got in–congrats, and really excited to meet you guys! If you didn’t, I know you’ll find the right place and good luck!
