Someone claims their guidance department called the school and was told Monday
Applied to VSB with a 1450 SAT and 4.6 wGPA, but with mediocre ECs and little to no leadership or volunteering. Any thoughts on my chances?

And got deferred from Fordham Gabelli School of Business on Thursday so not liking what that means for Nova… This is my top school and realizing I should’ve applied to CLAS with my stats 
I applied to VSB with a 35 on my ACTs and a 4.66 wGPA. I have some volunteering and a decent amount of ECs but nothing extraordinary. I was deferred from both Notre Dame and Boston college I’m not catholic either but my uncle went to Villanova and donates a small amount of money (idk if that is considered or not because my parents didn’t go to villanova) could I get someone to chance me please? I’m really anxious about Villanova decisions and would really appreciate it
I am getting the impression the EAs are very hard this year. My daughter has 4.7w GPA, 2110 old SAT. In at Gabelli, did not apply to CSOM or ND. I think we will both be OK, but accross the board EDs and EAs seem harder this year, based on information from my daughter’s school, which is a bit of a Villanova feeder.
Being a legacy will NOT matter for EA. I think they will release on Tuesday. We are a legacy family. It did not help for EA.
I’ve heard that it does help for EA and I’m a legacy @ekcecm4 …

@bitchboy - the EA policy where they will deny some during this process…prior year they either admitted or deferred only.

I don’t have a definite answer to the which day it will be but my S does attend Villanova. The last day of finals is Tuesday. I’m thinking that maybe the admissions dept. would release decisions on Tuesday after closing. The school goes on break and admissions department will be closed. Just a thought. I am super worried about this decision, I applied EA and I feel like this year will be a very competitive year for apps. I have 34 ACT and 4.5 W GPA on 4.0 scale. I hope my test scores are okay: SAT SUBJECT TESTS: US History - 770, Bio - 770, Spanish - 740, World History - 790. I have taken 9 AP Classes and gotten results back from five of them: Bio, Spanish Lang, US History, and WHAP were all 5’s, but my Bio score was trash ( I got a 3). I am hoping that my AP Scholar with Distinction can carry me into the class of 2021. My extracurriculars are very typical(student body president, varsity track all three seasons, and lots of performing and visual arts). I think my teacher rec should be strong since I do an independent study with my Spanish teach for AP Spanish literature.
I just need to hear back since I’m stressing too much

@infoseeker142 I think you are in good shape for any of the Villanova schools. Don’t stress. Those are great stats.
