Official Visits...

Hello! This is my 1st New Thread! My son accepted appointment USMA 2012!!!

We are so proud & excited! We are in Oklahoma, & would LOVE to make an Official Visit, however, dad/hubby is in Iraq w/ OK National Guard/US Army & funds are limited! Should I push & take him or do you parents who did not take your son/daughter for official visit do just fine???

Also, I feel really stupid but please tell me what some of the abbreviations you are using in some of the threads mean...
LOA, any other ones you can think of on other threads & so on...

Thank you in advance†

We sent you a PM… where in Oklahoma are you?

Babette: If you can afford for your son to do the overnight visit is is highly encouraged. If it is beyond your means it is in no way a requirement. However, I would make sure that your son has done all of the research he can do, if he is unable to visit (read books, watch videos and ask questions). The idea is that there should be “no real surprises” that would make him change his mind when he gets there…

Good luck!
