Good luck, prospective Columbians!

EDIT: Just realized that this is my 888th post… the number 8 symbolizes good luck in Chinese culture. Not trying to be superstitious or anything, but this might be a coincidence ;)

I just don’t have a stellar feeling about Columbia.

I can’t quite explain it - I just really get the feeling that they’ll reject me.
I’m pretty good at predictions. I’ve been right for all the college decisions I’ve gotten back so far… haha

same ocgirl92. i’m expecting a rejection and i am ok with it.

Same with me. It’s a huge reach and getting accepted would be the most incredible surprise. I’m ok with getting rejected, however, so I’m not too concerned…I just want fin aid from other schools!

oh butterflies!!! in my stomach!!!

I got a mail about contacting Columbia as soon as possible if I want to withdraw my application. Guys, is this or good sign or it is just one regular mail meant for every folk?

I’m so so nervous. I just want this horrible waiting period to be over with.

I’m assuming you mean the e-mail notifying us of when decisions will come out, since there was a bit about contacting them in that e-mail. In which case, don’t read anything into it. Everyone got that.

D-Day jst stand for THE Day and H-hour stands for THE hour. (They are terms left over from the planners of the allied invasion of Europe in June of 1944.) They have been used ever since to denote moments when something momentous occurs and the outcome is unknown. I think it works pretty well for this.

Likely letter to Columbia, but WL at Georgetown. What does that mean?

^Columbia College or SEAS? Would you mind posting your SAT and SAT 2 scores?

I’ll just fulfill today’s obligation to the wait room.

3 days, 3 hours, 1 minute, and counting. :-)

College. 800/770/780. 800 USH, 800 WH, 770 Hebrew, 750 Bio-M.

omgomgogmogmgomgomgogmofmoaasdf;kjsdf;asdfj;afdjl;fak;jl!

^That’s how I feel right now.

3 more days woo

2 days, 22 hours, 39 minutes and 57 seconds until Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 5:00:00 PM (New York time) :)

@ jblpright
I personally know a Columbia student who was rejected from Georgetown and had to go to Columbia instead - it’s certainly not unheard of. I was waitlisted at GU (SFS) as well, but I still have the tiniest smidgen of hope for dear old Morningside Heights! Don’t lets the Hoyas get you down… :)

Man…got rejected from Duke (not really a school I wanted to go to that much) and now I feel like I have no chance at all from the Ivies LOL. [needs reassurance] hahaha…im so sad. [crosses fingers]

Sigh…so hopeless lol

The wait is so ridiculously long…

Bleh don’t worry about it too much you guys!

Things that you don’t expect always happen. No result from one school is necessarily indicative of another result from another school.

( : The waiting period is soon going to be over! I think I might miss the drama of waiting… maybe. Haha
