Official Waiting Room

For SBCC? It’s a community college, so you can apply whenever. And pretty much if you can breathe you can get in. I took courses there as a junior in HS. And they guarantee transfer to UCSB (if you meet the requirements). I’m doing some summer school at SBCC. Right now you can apply for both summer and fall 09.

[Santa Barbara City College](http://www.sbcc.edu/)

Good morning fellow UCSB waitees!!!

Think that there’s any chance it may be posted today???

I doubt it because they gave a specific time and date.

Blegh.

Haha. I haven’t done any hw all weekend because I’ve been on these boards checking the status of all my schools.

Oh well =P

so worried…

I gotta get in >.<

I’m pretty confident. UCSB is a low target/safety for me… However, this year is insane so you never know.

GPA: W: 3.98
SAT: CR: 730, W: 690, M: 690
Essays: Awesome. I worked on my UC essays over a very long period of time.
In state, attend top public school.

Accepted: UC Davis, UCSC, and other out of state schools
Rejected: UCSD

you’ll probably get in

Rejected by: Cal Poly SLO, Davis, UCSD
Admitted by: UCSC, SDSU, Riverside.
Irvine still pending.

UCSB has always been my top choice though. I would enroll in a second if I was admitted.

UC GPA: 3.68 :frowning:
SAT: 1960
SAT II: 710,630.

fingers crossed

I was going to start a thread about my question, but I believe you guys will be willing to help! :]

So far, I have gotten into uci, ucd, ucsd (winter admit) and I am still waiting for ucsb.

I have read and heard that uci,ucd and ucsb are interchangable ( somewhat like ucla and ucb) and that once you get into 2 out of 3 ( in my case, ucd and uci) you might not get into the third.

Am I just freaking out? Or is this somewhat valid??

I have…
GPA: 4.16
SAT (worst ever T_T): CT 590 (though my highest was a 650), Math 600 and writing 650

Math 2 550 (I really donno how I did so bad in hte math sections as math is my strongest point) and 660 in US History

Essays: awesomely amazing!

=D I think I’m already guaranteed into UCSB through ELC.

anyone??

ugh I need 10 more characters

haha, good job think+

don’t know sorry
but i’ll take your UCI if you don’t want it

I think that you are being a little paranoid. They will accept you if you are a qualified candidate regardless of which other schools you may have gotten into. I would imagine that you will get into ucsb (I need some credit though if you do).

think+: I got into all three, so don’t worry!

damnnnnnnnn itttttt
sooooooooo depresssssssssssssssssssed

everybody’s stats are so good on here, i hope i get in!

If I do get into UCSB tmrw, should I still sign up for housing? I know in the ucsd threads people were doing this even though they had not completed their statement of intent just yet.

I am still waiting for ucla, but if I don’t get in I would like to go to ucsb and have a good choice of housing…

what do you guys think? do they allow this option?

and not just ucsb, I have been accepted to uci and ucd, should I go and see if I can request housing ( even if I may not go to either)
