For SBCC? It’s a community college, so you can apply whenever. And pretty much if you can breathe you can get in. I took courses there as a junior in HS. And they guarantee transfer to UCSB (if you meet the requirements). I’m doing some summer school at SBCC. Right now you can apply for both summer and fall 09.

I’m pretty confident. UCSB is a low target/safety for me… However, this year is insane so you never know.

Essays: Awesome. I worked on my UC essays over a very long period of time.
In state, attend top public school.

Accepted: UC Davis, UCSC, and other out of state schools
Rejected: UCSD

I was going to start a thread about my question, but I believe you guys will be willing to help! :]

So far, I have gotten into uci, ucd, ucsd (winter admit) and I am still waiting for ucsb.

I have read and heard that uci,ucd and ucsb are interchangable ( somewhat like ucla and ucb) and that once you get into 2 out of 3 ( in my case, ucd and uci) you might not get into the third.

Am I just freaking out? Or is this somewhat valid??

I think that you are being a little paranoid. They will accept you if you are a qualified candidate regardless of which other schools you may have gotten into. I would imagine that you will get into ucsb (I need some credit though if you do).

If I do get into UCSB tmrw, should I still sign up for housing? I know in the ucsd threads people were doing this even though they had not completed their statement of intent just yet.

I am still waiting for ucla, but if I don’t get in I would like to go to ucsb and have a good choice of housing…

what do you guys think? do they allow this option?

and not just ucsb, I have been accepted to uci and ucd, should I go and see if I can request housing ( even if I may not go to either)
