Hi Jamiecago from UIUC thread! Applied to WashU here too:).

oh hey! yea how many did u apply to?

12 or 13, I canât remember anymore. I originally planned on applying to more safety schools but after I got into U of Pittsburgh, I dropped several of the applications. Ah, time canât move fast enough!

Twenty eight colleges? Wow, how did you manage to finish your applications on time? Haha, here I am, thinking having to finish around ten long apps is badâŠ

any transfer applicants to WashU on here?
I would like to knwo if youâve received anythign from them. i received an ambiguos letter today n m gonna call to clarify.
:/

ArghâŠ4 daysâŠT____T

12~13 sounds reasonable. Yea, I had to work for quite a bit to finish all those apps Well good luck to this one, and I hope I see you in another thread!

lol, wouldnât it be funny if we applied to all the same schools :P

My wife and I are both Wash. U. grads. When our oldest son applied several years ago, we received a letter from admissions advising us of his acceptance prior to the normal announcement date. I canât recall exactly how much earlier it was (probably not much), but for any class of 2014 hopefuls out there with family ties to the university, your wait may be over sooner than you think. Best wishes. Itâs a wonderful school and our son has loved it there.

Hey I am transfer applicant. And I havenât received anything from them yet. That is probably because most of my materials have not been processed by them yet. What was your letter about? You can PM me.

if washu is really all about test scores, which is what i hearâŠ
then here comes my first rejection.

what do you guys think a competitive ACT score is there?

^Where did you hear that from ? I donât think WashU is all about test scores at allâŠ

well the average SAT and ACT scores are soooo much higher than other schools that are washu-rigor. most everyone i know who goes there or got accepted also had superb scores. i realize it is a good school and superb scores are a given, but in comparison to other superb schools, it seems as if washu tends to go for higher scoring applicants

greater than or equal to 33 would be pretty competitive.

So much higher ? Oh no, I really hope not!

Edit: I just checked; itâs 680-750 CR and 710-780 M, which isnât that much higher than similarly ranked schools. Which schools do you regard as âwashu-rigorâ but have much lower score ranges?

well i took the ACT, start of the mid 50% is a 32âŠwhich just happens to be my score. for chicago/northwestern/emory/georgetown even cornell and brown, the start of the mid 50% is a 28, 29, or 30.

oh and charlieharporâŠwe applied to the EXACT same schools haha, what are the odds

I applied to 19 schools.

jackdaniels donât fret, the naviance page at my school shows that a few people from my school got accepted with a 30 on the ACT which means you are above them score-wise i think other things matter more to washuâŠor at least thatâs what my regional rep told usâŠ
